Not a bad price, he has a good scoring record for Brazil, not sure what the opposition have been like? Still if he gets games for Brazil he could be there or there abouts
The Golden Boot is always a lottery but there are some good odds to be had. I wouldn't put any cash down till the contest starts because of injuries and the like but I fancy a long bet on Di Natale at 50's (Italy are in a joke group and there's every chance he could cut loose, especially against New Zealand)
Anyone seen any odds for Wilf Vazquez v Zsolt Bedak on the 29th May? Nowt on oddschecker ... i imagine Wilf will be a very short priced fav but winning by KO may get some value ....think its on primetime as well i saw ...nice one
Think that will take a few odds in a bit, was surprised he was 2nd favorite this early. Could be a decent prizefighter this,
I don't understand alot of bookies. They have obscure crappy european fights on the market for ages at poor odds(like Tjibert), but put fights like Vasquez - Marquez up at the last minute (that's if they even do it all).
It makes sense from a business perspective. Put up a fight like V - M, where a lot of knowledgeable people can make an educated bet on the outcome and manipulate the odds, and a lot of money can be lost. Offer odds on two random Eurobums no-one has ever heard of and it's likely they'll draw bets from people who fancy a gamble but don't know much about the fighters from anywhere but Boxrec and can't make a well-judged bet. I'd do the same if I ran a book.
I've put my money where my mouth is - £200 on Marquez. I managed to get 6/5 on win only. Some bookies are offering 11/2 on Klitschko to win on points
Big risk that ! .... i like the look of Vazquez but will be keeping my well earned in my pocket ... whats the thoughts behind that choice Beeston?
If anyone's ever heard of an organisation called Purple Moon Bloodstock Agency, would appreciate a PM - cheers.
I think Vazquez is done, or close to it. He looked worse against a worse opponent than Marquez did last time..... apparently he was losing at the time he got the stoppage, just looked at his record and it isn't great, lots of consecutive KO losses. I've had a few half decent wins lately so loading up on Rafa, if he lets me down I'm gonna be pissed off :nut
Got an e-mail from them with a link for it yesterday - got a similar one today from Paddy Power with a £1,000 cash prize for the winner.
Man... I missed this thread. Too bad Football season is over, but than again, we could be making some good money on the World Cup soon. Can't wait for that, any good early bets by you guys? As far as boxing i dont see anything that appeals me in the slightest. Which leads me to my next question..... Anyone here have Alexeev - Lebedev odds? Im dying to read the odds on this bad boy cause if the right price i could be spending a bit on that :deal I've been watching a lot of football this year, and finnally, my team is going to the Champions Leauge!!!!!!(AJ AUXERRE) We finished third in Ligue 1 this year, ranked #1 Defence in all of France.
