Ward's power isn't too great I don't think. Green will prob lose by wide decision.

yeah but i wont be betting on it , he may turn up and just ot be there how often do we see top boxers turn up but just not turn up

though even 50% of the old cotto should be enough to deal with yet another bob arum special

Any more thoughts on the World Cup from any one yet? Placed my first bet today but still looking for a few more. Plenty of value around.

Gone for 6 folds from these seven outcomes:

    Italy V Paraguay under 2.5 goals @ 1/2
    Serbia V Ghana under 2.5 goals @21/40
    Honduras V Chile @ 8/13
    Germany V Serbia @ 4/5
    Ghana V Germany @ 8/11
    Cameroon V Holland @ 4/5
    Portugal V Brazil @ 5/6

    £14 stake. £300 max. win.

Other big prices I quite like the look of are:

    Cameroon V Denmark @ 8/5
    Ghana V Australia @ 15/8
    Uruguay V France @ 3/1
    SA V Mexico @ 13/8

I don't expect all 4 of these to come in but will be looking to go for one or two of them as the tournament gets closer.

I'm surprised Australia are nearly 2/1 to beat Ghana, who will be missing their best player..... I think France are certainly worth laying against, I've not seen Uruguay in action.

also I know betting on friendlys isn't the best idea but had a 5er on denmark to beat austraila tomorrow, seems like a good return.

All of the African teams seem to offer pretty poor value imo because of the home team advantage (albeit a continent rather than a home country), which makes backing against them good value if you like the opposition. I did have a look at IC over Potugal though at 2/1.

I like the look of Denmark. Even money to qualify from the group seems decent value. Friendlies are always dangerous but perhaps less so this close to a World Cup as teams will presumably be looking for momentum to take in with them. Just depends wether the coach is looking for first 11 practice or experimenting with team line ups and formation still.

Who is likely to start up front and/ or take penalties for Italy? With the group they've got a decent Italian striker might be a good bet for top scorer.

I think denmark are a decent side so yeh that would be a good bet. I think your right about these friendlies being a safer bet, players are not 100percent gaurenteed a place at the world cup so put in a lot more effort working towards getting there. I see denmark beating austrailia tomorrow and putting a fiver down to win 11 quid is a really good bet, if not it's only a fiver lost. As far a betting on group winners etc I think people are best off just betting in individual matches/live bets.

on a seperate note I didn't see the England game yesterday as I was at wembley for rotherham but lampard missed another penalty? England are blatently going to go out of the world cup on penalties, wonder what odds you'd get on that.

like quite a few of those but i wouldnt go for Cameroon-Holland at that price. its Holland's last group game and i think they will probably have won the first 2 handily and might be looking to rest players and not over-commit and Cameroon could be in with a shout of getting 2nd in the group.

definately like Brazil to beat the Ivory Coast at 4/6, style wise its a good matchup for Brazil.
