Some mug was laying 2/1 on ''Day 4 - Morning'' for the ''Test Match End'' market in the Pakistan/Aus game. That was when Pakistan were needing around 130 runs to win. I just wasn't sure with the extra 30 mins etc. Opportunities like that don't come around too often:verysad

This Pakistan team could use Younis Khan in the middle order (assuming there are no problems there) and get rid of one the kids (not Umar Akmal)

England available at 11/4 for The Ashes. I don't share the confidence of some in this thread. I'm not convinced by some members of the team - Cook was **** last time down under and he keeps ****ing about with his technique. Collingwood:huh When was the last time he got runs? I like him but surely his place will be looked at if Morgan/Bell keep taking their opportunities. **** Prior off. Steven Davies has a case.

I'm more worried about the bowling than the batting. The batting is good enough and deep enough with Swann and Broad at 8 and 9 to score runs in Australia. Taking 20 wickets is a lot more difficult on those tracks.

Good point. Bresnan is decent at best and makes up for it a bit with his batting. Problem with someone like Anderson is that the Kookaburra ball will swing for 10-15 overs then he's ****ed. Finn might be useful. Prime Flintoff/Harmison would be ideal, not the horror version of Harmison bowling the ball to 2nd slip. Stick a fork in them two.

Yep, I'd probably go Broad, Finn, Anderson, Swann at the moment if they're going for 4 bowlers which they will.

Dodgy looking attack in Australia but at least its got some height and a decent spinner.

I reckon they'll take Shazhad out there as well and maybe go with 4 seamers, maybe in Perth and somebody would have to make way. Don't know where Onions is at with his fitness but he'll probably go as well. We could do with another Flintoff as that extra seamer who bats as well. We could see a lot of overs from ****ing Trott and Collingwood.

Could be where Shahzad comes in to play as a dark horse selection, he's shown glimpses of being a good old ball bowler. I doubt they'd have the bollocks to drop Anderson though, so it'd probably come down to who performs better (or less ****) out of Finn and Shahzad.

Yeah you're right about Anderson. He's experienced now and the senior bowler. Shazhad has kept his place for the Pakistan tests (as has Morgan)

If I was going to pick 4 from those fights that's the way I'd go, but Martinez and perhaps Chisora are the only ones I'd have reasonable confidence in. I don't really know enough about Jacobs and Pirog to comment, Cloud v Johnson seems like a typical young gun (well young in comparison) v wily old cat type scenario, depends on Cloud having the smarts and not going out thinking he'll knock him out sharpish, Chisora v Sexton; Del Boy is deserved favourite, Sexton looks to me to be a good front runner and solid when he's got it his own way, but very sloppy if the other fella decides to bring it (and there's still the lingering issue of conditioning). You'd expect that Sexton would have learned more than Chisora has from his loss + the fights with Rogan, but I'm not sure that's the case.

I think its pretty good, i'm different from the other guy though I find the Martinez one the most dodgy. Away from home, wasn't particuarly impressed with him against Cook until he got a knockout.

Anybody follow Athletics? Who you got for the mens 100m and 400m in the Europeans?

400m - Martyn Rooney is currently ranked 3rd in Europe but there isn't much between the top 3 and he's been talking up his chances following a recent loss in Gateshead, which he followed up with a promising return and his liking for the track in Barcelona. Best price is around 4/1.

Chambers is favourite for the 100m but he's ranked second in Europe and has been struggling for track time due to a lack of invites. Lemaitre seems to be getting better and has recently clocked a 9.98 (fastest in Europe). Will Chambers' experience tell or will the youthfullness of the French fella shine through?
