No problem, I usually get them friday evening (saturday morning at the latest) so I'll post them up then. Maybe the odd one in the week but not very often.
No I mean. Utd were at 1.1 at 2-1 then were down to 1.08 just after nani missed the pen. From the start of the match they were 1.66. If you backed that price and then they go on to start winning the price for them to win will be lower and by laying that price you can get your stake back and enjoy a free bet on the game.
No you twat. You need to back a team at just the right time like Mr V.I.P. ALWAYS seems to and then lay them off when they reach the lowest price. Works every time for Mr V.I.P. hence why he is £420K this year alone. Quite straight forward.
Yes you need to use a betting exchange to lay bets like Betfair or Betdaq. If you don't understand laying a bet it is prudent to research it thoroughly and understand what laying a bet actually means before you bollocks it up and lose out.
thanks tffp for actually taking the time to realise not everyone is a betting expert. the answer to the original question then would be i use ladbrokes.
My advice would be to sign up to Betfair and just watch a few markets during games and see how they react to certain situations. I don't want to patronise you but at the same time I don't want to confuse you, but think of the price of an event as a curve. Think when that curve might reach it's peak and when it will bottom out. EXAMPLE: Chelsea to beat Wigan - they were something like 1.25 (1/4) at kick off. By the 30 minute mark they will have drifted. Then they scored and the price would probably have been 1/25 or something. So in a perfect world you would have backed them just before they scored (at the best price) then you have the option of laying them off to guarantee a profit on all outcomes - Chelsea vs Wigan you'd probably be best to leave your money invested on a Chelsea win.
All you need to think of is laying a bet is basically taking the role of a bookmaker. You are ladbrokes. If you lay against Blackburn at 3/1 you are offering somebody odds of 3/1 to bet on Blackburn to win. If Blackburn do not win, you get their stake, if Blackburn do infact win you have to payout their stake @ 3/1.
Well yeah, obviously the example I gave would be at the start of a game. Laying is best used in game when the odds are favourable. It actually eradicates the risk then if you already had a bet on good odds as you can cover yourself.
Betfair is best used in game. Some people swear by ''systems'' but really anything can happen. Anything! Also people have a 'bank' and they bet according to that. I'm more of a casual punter to be honest. Look over at the Betfair Forum (it's ****, I go there very occasionally) some twat lumped 3/4 of his bank on Wigan to beat Blackpool *****. He tried to justify it afterwards saying he'd keep making the smart bets and be up at the end of the season etc.
I refuse to believe any bet involving Wigan can be smart. Even last season we saw they're the most unpredictable shower of ****s going. What's the point.
Talking of laying, some bloke did that with corners the other day in the Wigan-Chelsea match and now owes £14,000 or something silly.
