Fancied the Scarlets tonight but didn't have the bottle.

Had a small bet on them (+9) which came in.

Fancying Newport Gwent Dragons (-11) tomorrow.

I'd price them at about -18.

Edit - Beeston, how do you fancy England +14 tomo?

You can get +16 in some places mate, although I don't seem them winning, I can't see them losing by more than 16 either.

+16 is a decent bet IMO.

    Date of Game: Saturday*23rd October
    Game: Sunderland v*Aston Villa*- kick-off 3.00pm
    Competition: Premier League
    ***
    Selection:*Sunderland to win*
Best Prices2.5 with SBObet, Canbet, BetFred, PaddyPower2.47 with Pinnacle
2.45 with 5Dimes, Sportbet, BetPhoenix, Expekt, Greek
    2.43 with Chronicle, Centrebet
    2.42 with 188bet, 12bet, Mansion88*
    *
Reasoning: I dont think there is much, if anything, between these 2 sides. Villa have probably slipped a bit in the last 6*months*while Sunderland have risen a bit and they are probably now not far away from each other. There hasn't been a drastic fall or rise though so it kind of goes un-noticed.*
In the last 20 games the 2 sides records are pretty similar:-
    *
    A.V*= P20, W8, D6, L6, F24, A30 - PTS 30
    SUN*= P20, W6, D9, L5, F23, A19 - PTS 27
    *
In those 20 games, Sunderland had a much trickier run of games with 7 games against the 5 top teams of last season (Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Man C) compared to only 4 for Villa.
    *
Sunderland are strong at home, with only 3 defeats in 23 Premier League home games under Steve Bruce.*This season they have had 4 really tough home fixtures*but have done very well with a win against Man City and 3 draws against Man Utd, Arsenal and Birmingham.*
    *
Villa's 4 away games so far have resulted in 1 win and 3 losses with a win against Wolves but defeats to Newcastle, Stoke and Spurs.
    *
Overall I'd say this is a game between two pretty equal sides and*the current odds*for a side to beat a side at the same level as them is pretty generous, especially so considering*Sunderlands very decent home record.

    Date of Game: Sunday*24th October
    Game: Villarreal v*Athletico Madrid*- kick-off 8.00pm
    Competition:*La Liga

    Selection:*Villarreal to win*

    2.35 with 188bet
    2.33 with SBObet, Canbet
    2.32 with Chronicle, 12bet, Mansion88*
    * **Reasoning:*Villarreal's home record in La Liga in the last 12 months*is P19, W16, D1, L2, F41, A15. They have kept 10 clean sheets in those 19 and scored in 18 of*the 19.*They have won 10 of their last 11 home games with the*only defeat coming against Barcelona. So far this season they have won 3 out of 3 at home - 1-0, 3-0 and 4-0.*
Athletico Madrid's La Liga away record in the last 12 months is P18, W3, D5, L10, F20, A29.*To be fair though*they look a better side than last season but*they have still come up short in their 3 real tests so far this*term (lost away at Sevilla and home to Barca and drew away at Valencia).*
2.3+ looks a big price to me.

    Date of Game: Monday*25th October
    Game:*Real Sociedad v Deportivo La Coruna*- kick-off 8.00pm
    Competition:*La Liga
    ***
    Selection:*Sociedad to win*
    Best Prices2.2 with Interwetten2.13 with 12bet, Mansion88
    2.12 with Pinnacle
    2.11 with SBObet, Canbet, 188bet
    2.1 with various*
    * **Reasoning:*Deportivo are by some distance the worst performing side in La Liga in 2010.*
Deportivo have picked up just 24 points from a possible 90 in 2010. The next worst are 6 points better off with 30 points claimed. Away from home Deportivo are even worse with just 4 points from a possible 45 and a 2010 away record of P15, W0, D4, L11, F4, A27.*
    *
    Pretty awful numbers all round.
    *
Sociedad have had a*decent*return*from their 3 home games so far since promotion:-
    *
    WON 1-0 V Villarreal
    LOST 1-2 v Real Madrid
    WON 1-0 v Espanyol
    *
Odds against looks generous to me.

Sorry mate didn't get the chance to reply.

I'd say the bookies have it priced pretty well..... too well because I left it.

I went with Sale to beat Leeds last night but bottled it just after Sale went 6-3 up.

Edit - COME ON INGURLUND 18-10 now :happy

    Clever lad :yep

Dodgy game in few hours Spartak Nalchik vs FC Tom Tomsk , Nalchik from around 2/3 to 1/5 . I hear rumors home team is supposed to win 1-0 . In the last 9 games between them since 2006 home team has won 6 with the correct score 1-0 .

If I leave a rugby handicap it's either zero value or they've priced it too well...... finally learned my lesson after the Six Nations :-(

Same here, I price it myself before looking what the bookies have.

Think tonight is very good value though.

I've watched Aironi a few times and they've been terrible.

Any thoughts on the footy today?

The obvious bet for Monday is both teams to score..... 13/16 Leeds games both teams have scored, we are missing our best two keepers and have a shocking back four..... it's amazing where we are in the table, if our defence was even average we'd be challenging for the top 2

On the rugger..... how much is big?

Yoshihiro Kamegai vs Jose Alfaro to go under 8.5 rounds: 8/11 (Bet365).

Both big punchers, Kamegai has a leaky defence, Alfaro is vulnerable. Can't see it going beyond 5 rounds, let alone 8.

    £220 to win £200.

Had a nice surprise this morning when I found out the Scarlets were even money last night rather than 10/11.

Just seen the Spurs team, looks like they've gone for Palacios rather than a second striker which'll mean Bale spending more time forward - know he's due a bad game but I expected him to be 5/2 max to score. Not missing 10/3.
