    There was a betting scam about a fortnight ago involving Benitez, another with Ribery pre-season and Henry last summer.

    Surprisingly enough all involving Liverpool FC.

    Promotion for Leeds is only 2/5..... winning it is 8/5 - a tenner was placed on that yesterday.

    Jermain Beckford is 13/5 to finish top goalscorer - he did it last season despite being injured for a spell and having a four match ban.

    Guys, pile on Serena Williams to win the US Open. I'll eat my hat if she doesn't win it. There are a dearth of real challengers for her, Safina is all over the shop, her sister Venus has a huge ass strap on her leg and is noticeably restricted.

    It's always on a weekend and today is the second round so that would make it the Sunday after next.

    She's kicking serious ass at the moment 6-1 5-0 up. She has some chick called Sanchez next then it finally gets tough against one of;

    I don't know who beats her unless she has a meltdown. I watched Venus's opening 2 matches and she struggled like hell in the first and was a few points from losing, better today but still a little tentative on the serve because she lands on her knee which has tendonitis.

    Shes come in at Sporting Bet too! I used Paddy because I have an account, couldn't be arsed setting one up at Sporting Bet.

    She's got match point as we speak.

    You know Venus is struggling when shes at 7's to win. In peak heath she'd be 3/1.

    Dementieva is second favourite and she's never won a slam, so yeah its a safe bet!

    Dementieva is 11/2 ,that's fairly wide.

    Ronnie O'Sullivan is evens to win this years Premier League Snooker-starting tomorrow.He's won it 5 years on the spin,the format suits him.I don't see anybody beating him
