Rios stoppage was at 10/3 earlier but I was planning to wait to see if another bet this weekend came off, think in terms of value it's decent enough as it's pretty even as a fight

Australia to win the cricket world cup are 6/1 on Betfair.

That's pretty generous in my opinion, I'd have them at worst around the 7/2 mark.

They've got the most complete bowling attack, and have these prelim games to get their batting firing before the KO stage.

Sure, it won't be as one-sided as last time - where the pitches were flat and had short boundaries, built for their batting line-up that was backed up by four match winning bowlers..... but I still make them joint with India to win it.

Looking at the other contenders..... England's batting is average, and the bowling not much better. Pietersen may as well be batting with a snooker cue.

    ****stan = mental midgets.

South Africa have a good allround side, probably as good as Australia but Ponting is superior to Smith as a captain and this will be key with the batting powerplay.

New Zealand are average at the minute.

Sri Lanka are a team in transition, the batting is exceptional but for the first time their bowling looks like easy pickings for the most part. They've always had every base covered in both batting and bowling, including an opening batsman who was a very good bowler..... but no more.

India are a strong side, but some of these young kids have been feasting on crap attacks on flat wickets..... their bowling is average too.

  3. There was a cracking bet on Ladbrokes last night.

Younis Khan Under 0.5 sixes against Kenya - Evens.

Khan hadn't hit a six in his last 35 ODI's. Meant to post it on here but seems I forgot.

Think Australia's lack of a decent spinner might work against them in the later stages when someone prepares a dustbowl. Should make the semis at least though piece of ****.

While we are very average at the moment, i think sporting are just as bad and after watching Benfica(admittedly a far superior team than both on show tonight) outplay Sporting away from home with 10 men on monday night. I think Rangers to win or draw is a great bet tonight, ive doubled it up with Napoli to win or draw both are 11/10 with Coral.

Also went with Anderson,Taylor and Lewis on the arrers tonight treble pays 7/2 and had a wee tenner on Davis to score 1st at 20/1.

Webster has a decent record against Anderson, I'll be leaving that alone, even though I do fancy Anderson.

Now somebody tell me the Handicap betting on Scarlets vs Edinburgh :D

Cheers lads - the Scarlets will cover that.

Andersons record surprises me, during the Grand Slam last year they mentioned Webby had a good record against him, then Webby slammed him again. That being said it was on ITV4, so maybe they were talking rubbish.

Webby is onna be a big, big player. He is only now given up his say job and gone full time.

This year will be too soon, but next year he is gonna stick some big averages in.

  13. I'll give it a go. :thumbsup

It may be that he has a good record in stage events against Ando as he was known as a floor player monster a few years ago and he would freeze on the stage, that has changed in the last 12 months though, i think 8-4/5 will be the score tonight.
