I had this for the first fight at something like 9/1, thought it was going to happen aswell.

I'm still not getting it even if there were odds. How is 1.7 great just because he was 1.3 the first time? He got completely outboxed and outworked, the only reason he got a draw is the knockdowns and hometown decision. It's important to look at what actually took place equally or more than what the odds were and are this time.

If Hopkins is smart, which he is, he's not going to gift Pascal those free points again.

I am not saying who is going to win the fight just where the value lies.

I think Hopkins will get the job done conclusively this time around, Pascal will be quick out of the traps as always but will tire down the stretch once Hopkins has figured him out and can pick him off easily.

He'll always beat B-level fighters like Dawson that have the ring IQ of a child, but against a top operator like Hopkins he'll be found wanting.

Not sure where Pascal will go after this to be honest..... Froch will be tied up for the best part of a year with Ward and one of Bute or Kessler, he's beaten Diaconu already.... Shumenov maybe or the winner of Clev vs Braehmer?

Rugby league bet for the weekend has to be 5/4 Stefan ratchford and 6/4 luke Patton to both be anytime try scorers for salford v crusaders this weekend...

Ratchfords form has been outstanding of late and a move to the centres against Catalan he caused major problems for them ... in great form and worth a punt

Patten has really found his form but hasnt gone over the whitewash in 5 or 6 games .. having scored in the first two I cant see the Crusaders stopping him this weekend ...

I reckon Hopkins on points is the bet. Did it last fight and was sick. Not the first time boxing judges have cost me. Hopkins has a savage record in rematches

He has never had stamina as a main asset anyway, look at him after 2 sets againt Fed at the US Open, he lost to fish in 2, big deal, if you watched the match you would know Fish got a few lucky netchords going his way in both sets at vital break points. You want a lifetime ban bet that he is a top 15 player by the end of the year?

Onto today and i fancy Wigan-4 10/11 and Peterborough 5/6 in a double and Federer at 13/10, Rafa had the trainer on last night and eventually came through in 3 sets against Berdych whereas fed was 3-0 up in the 1st set when Simon retired, he should be alot fresher than rafa and is a spot of value i feel.

Thoughts on the cricket tomorrow anyone? I feel that Sri Lanka are value at 6/4, these teams are very evenly matched and although India have home advantage i think that Sri Lanka have been a little bit more impressive.

Sri Lanka are the better side of the two for me.

But I'm expecting something huge from Tendulkar tomorrow..... he's on 99 international hundreds, when better to bring the big 100 up?

    D.Haye VS W.Klitschko

1000 on D.Haye by KO TKO or DQ 2/1
    &
1000 on W.Klitschko by KO TKO or DQ 7/4

That's two bets totaling 2000, the smallest possible return is 2250 and the highest is 3000. So basically I'm beating on the fight to end in a KO.

    Thoughts?

No, its awful. This could be and is very likely to be a boring fight where they're both shitting themselves.

Yes its pretty likely one will get knocked out with the power and chins on display but theres always the chance of a borefest and your maximum upside is not really worth losing 2 grand for. There are far better bets.

I wouldn't rule out a Wlad jab-fest points win. Just my opinion.

I did a similar thing a couple of years ago, put a £100 on Andy Murray and Roger Federer to win the US open. Minimum return £50. Federer lost in the final to Del Potro, i was crying watching it, he was so poor.

Ok first of all 1000 on a 7-4 shot returns 2750. betting odds-on is usually a quick way to the poor house

Feel like a little gamble, might go for something along the lines of Segura stoppage, Helenius outright (after seeing Peter come in at 260) and maybe Derry Matthews on points against Amir Unsworth. About 6/1 in total

Considering a score on Helenius stoppage as well, Peter looks horrible.

Helenius stoppage seems a bit of a gamble. Peter although extremely fat and in terrible form lately can take a good beating. Add to that Helenius hasn't got great one punch KO think it will be a wide UD for Helenius.

In play betting on the Schalke match is working for me at the minute, Ulster also just lost me £30 in the last 2 minutes of their match had them minus 8 ****s.
