British Forum BETTING thread

Going all in on 1/6 shouts isn't good gambling. You will win most, of course, but every now and then, there will be a slip up. What were City today? 1/3 at least, surely? And honestly, who would have thought they'd have drawn that game? I think if you go along the lines of jumping on the hot favourites, you'll eventually find a City/West Brom type bet and come unstuck.

The bookies don't give gamblers such an easy ride. If it was that simple, everyone would be winning week in, week out.

I could never have backed them in that match. Too risky. Playing away from home is a huge factor in assessing a football match.

People will tell you not to back 1/6 shots etc. But how many of them are making money from gambling? I made a very large sum on Andre Ward beating Froch by decision. If I told you how much, you wouldn't believe me. He was not 1/6 but was short odds.

I have a system that has consistantly made profit for the last few months. It breaks almost every "rule" in betting but it makes me money so I am willing to go against common opinion. Orville and Wilbur Wright were called muppets for telling everyone they were going to create an vehicle that can fly through the air.

There will occasionally be those bets that do go down but we prepare for that. We have a big bankroll and we split it up into 20 pieces. We take one piece at a time and work with that. If it goes down, we move onto another piece. If we start with 2000, then we break it up into 20 100s. We try to turn 100 into 500 every time until we have doubled our bank. At which point, we withdraw some winnings and then restart with a new bank. I'm going to take 100 and turn it into 500 in this thread..

Lets see what happens and I'm sure I will pick up some new followers along the way.

BTW, we have a DEFINITE BET tomorrow.

What are some fight where the guy who wa favoured got well beaten. Fights like calzaghe vs lacy. Darchinyan vs donaire. Foreman vs Frazier. Foreman vs Ali. I'm interested in the fights where you knew at the time that the odds wereridiculous like khan being 1/14 vs Peterson. and even Mosley being favourite over wright. Corrales being favourite over floyd is another one
