Yeah i think it's the fact there a fair bit better then Blackburn/Bolton and Wigan. I was a bit disappointed by the odds myself, QPR have to spend but even doing that who will they get?. There gonna need real quality and some may not wanna go there on a permanent deal when teams struggling. I'm considering contacting another bookmakers for this bet, add a 4th team and that will knock odds up a little.
I think Blackburn are down, Wigan are poor and will struggle, Bolton could still get out of it but they are selling cahill so they will be weaker. I think they QPR need to spend a good bit to stay safe too but whereas the others don't have the money they do. I take your point on players wanting to move there though.
:good I agree about Bolton as well. I personally don't see Henry scoring that many, two would be a success IMO.
Only thing I'd say about Wigan is they have this habit of just scraping survival. Could well do it again.
They will IMO sadly!. It bugs me the way people wax lyrical over Martinez really does. He's actually taken the club backwards in terms of where they were with Bruce. I also don't see this great football that some say he plays, yes he was part of the foundations at Swansea but he should have this Wigan team up and at it by now but each season there atrocious yet rely on others being worse.
I think some of Martinez's signings are questionable. But I disagree with the style of football comments, even though you could question how pragmatic he is since they're not getting results. I do think they play some expansive stuff at times.
I don't see any quality with it, nothing makes me go wow (patterns of play etc) they just seem to play open football but nothing outstanding within that. There defending is atrocious like ours is at the moment. I don't rate the guy as highly as most i wanna see some improvement in a side that isn't that bad a squad. He's actually added **** to it when you look at Swansea who've added a fantastic signing in Sigurdsson. Quality is out there, lower leagues and abroad.
Well yeah I'd agree theres a feel of chaos about them at times. But it could be argued thats the players limitations, not much tactical sense or football brain about them etc. I think what Martinez is trying is admirable, but maybe theres a time and place for it and its perhaps not with Wigan in relegation battles. Maybe needs to get a more solid tactical approach and then try to build from there. I agree Swansea had a blinder getting Gylfi. He can score goals, and I think without a top notch striker thats important.
I rated the kid when he smashed us to bits in U21 game, What happened at Hoffenheim?. I do agree with you on Martinez trying to attack being admirable. A lot better then some who've decided to go 4-5-1. I think the 3-4-3 there using is actually baffling teams .
3-4-3 is...just...:rofl First 20 mins in the Liverpool game was the most disorganized sack of **** I've seen in a while. But somehow they rode that period out. They weren't too bad against us to be fair, scoreline and sending off was a little harsh. Wouldn't mind seeing a list of Martinez signings though. Kinda thinking his record would be pretty poor which is a big no-no at smaller teams. Need to make that money count. Not sure to be honest mate? Think he may just have fallen out of favor? His scoring record for Hoffenheim is fantastic, maybe he doesn't quite fit into their style of play? Maybe they've got somebody better, I don't know. But he's definitely a premier league player, a good one, and very dangerous from set pieces etc. Very smart business.
They did same against us other week, i sat there and thought 'were taking our time here, maybe the players are just happy to probe and then grab a goal then wrap it up'. They were wide open with David Jones playing LWB against Sturridge and getting ripped to bits. I'll try and get a list of transfers since he's been at club. Won't make for pretty reading i bet. Yep Rodgers has been very smart indeed. He's worked with him IIRC :think.

Ah, good old david Jones. Remember him coming through the ranks in our youth system, was plenty of buzz about him. The next Gerrard type player apparently! Looked quality at that level, box to box, eye for goal, passing. At this level though he's good technically but absolutely no pace, not really a left mid, and obviously not been good enough to nail down a CM place for a Prem team.
