Would this work? Generate some more interest in our heavyweight division and could tie in with Haye and possibly Harrison's World title endeavours?

    The Six would be:

    Sam Sexton
    Derek Chisora
    Tyson Fury
    John McDermott
    Tom Dallas
    Larry Olubamiwo

Doing this on the coat-tails of Haye's popularity would get some mainstream attention for our up and coming British fighters.

Or its the worst idea ever :patsch

    It's a great idea.

Start off with preliminary fights over 8 rounds, semis over 10 and the final over 12.

I'd like to see something similar with the middleweights - Lee, Duddy, McEwan, Macklin, Barker & Murray.

David Price would need to be in it however.

    12 best Heavies in Britain.

Seed the top 6 so they can't meet in the prelims.

    6 winners into a super 6.

    That'd really sell.

as big as the names are on that list i dont think there would be enough money to get all of them on board and for there to be enough interest for the promoters an all to make enough money back.

Was considering Rogan....I think I would need to have 3 prelims...

    Sexton
    Chisora
    Fury V McDermott Winner

    Prelims:

    Rogan V Fury/McDermott Loser
    Dallas V Skelton
    Olabimiwo V Price

Getting more complicated by the minute..........:huh:huh

The only way would be if SKY and one other broadcaster could come to an agreement (ESPN, ITV)...and then for the promoters to agree as well (Maloney, Warren).....

I think off the back of Haye's growing popularity this COULD do well if it was marketed as the man who would knock Haye off his pedastal being groomed, and we could basically watch one of these guys take over (Which is why I left Rogan out originally as his career is winding away)....It would all depend on the marketing as usual.

The Super 6 has done really well I feel, and was an innovative idea. Prizefigther has done better than some thought it would. Never know unless you try, and better than watching the same usual nonsense of Danny Williams making another comeback and getting blasted out (sad to see).

Super 6 wouldnt work domesticly as fighters need to mvoe beyond that level after a while.

I am sure that the winner of Fury vs McDermott will fight the winner of Chisora vs Sexton. The winner of Olubawimou will fight Tom Dallas.

Hmm leave it a while, that looks more like a Prizefighter type lineup to me, another year or 2 and it would be amazing.

And how long will this tournament last..? if its aslong as the super 6, its a bad bad idea.

The whole concept of the Super 6 is ****, and no one cares.

It dose'nt even feel like a tournament.

If a Heavyweight Tournament was to be set up, i want it to end within 8 months.
