    They'd be part of the British Isles but not the UK.

    The UK would just be England, Wales and NI.... surely?

    I don't think Salmond will get his wish though....

    The British Isles isnt a legal entity and has no official meaning and just a pretty outdated and disputed geographical term to describe the island off the north west of Yerp!

    Hopefully the Scots will one day have enough balls to get out from behind their mothers apron and stand on their own two feet. :good

    tell you what, scotland is unlikely to get indepedence IMO but the ridiculous nature of many people in scotland baffles me: go to Parkhead on a saturday and you hear 50,000 people singing about irish independence and the fight against british tyranny yet a huge chunk of those wont support scottish independence...

    and tyhe scottish aswell! I think we probelt end up with independece lite ,thats whats being touted by the media and the folk in the now when it comes to a referendum
