Lets see if 'Team Khan' go through with it or bottle out because their fighter does not make the grade to fight a champion. www.earlworldchampion.blogspot.com Amir Khan's short professional boxing career is soon to come to an end, then he can go back to the Olympics in 2008 and bring back the Gold instead of silver.
Graham Earl has already turned down a fight with Khan. Limond was the 2nd choice. Earl would stand no chance and knows it.
Khan has too much height, reach and speed for Earl. He is going to box him and look for openings to land hard shots often. Earl has to put his hands up, chin down, bite his gumshield and come out punching. Easier said than done as many go passive against Khan as he doesn't let them into the fight. Khan appears to want to learn and has continously got better. If he has watched Earl v Katsidis and others he'll realise he'll have to keep his defence tight.
One thing that does impress me about Khan is that he does learn. He kept his left hand up the whole time in his last fight, which is truly shocking! Perhaps he saw what happened to Jermain.
WTF are they talking about , British Lightweight crown ?...........Thaxton's the British champ(unless they're trying to make some bad pun on Earl's nickname) . Khan stops Earl easily , Thaxton ko's Khan . Yes a fighter can go amateur after having gone pro , there may be a set amount of fights which you can't do it after but I know a British amateur who turned pro recently(and was meant to be very good) turned pro and lost 1/2 fights on cuts and was told he couldn't box pro anymore(due to the risk of him being repeatedly cut) so he has gone back to the amateurs .
