Burns certainly deserves to be ahead of Munroe.

I don't think it's that bad. IMO, other thank Brook, they're all in the right general area (1-3 - Haye, Froch and Khan; 4-7 - Cleverly, Munroe and Burns) and the last few places on the list are a lottery. It's down to your interpretation of what a P4P list is as to who you rank in those places. And as it is, there's quite a few fighters who could be ranked. I wouldn't rank Barker myself in the top 10, but I have no qualms about Murray or Macklin.

Rhodes is probably the only glaring omission for me.

I disagree, Burns only has a win over Martinez, who isn't very good. Munroe's wins over Terrazas and Maludrottu surpass Burns' IMO.

I don't think he deserves to be ranked ahead of Munroe. He has one good win, whilst Munroe has quite a few (Maludrottu, Martinez twice and the Terrazas win, which looks very good now). Sure, Munroe lost decisively to Nishioka last time out but Burns hasn't been up against anyone that good and it shouldn't be used against him in this case.

I'd put DeFail on there every time. Maybe Gavin, that one is more suspect though.

The problem is that Brook is somehow ranked #1 in one of the strongest weight classes in boxing.

The fact that he's fought absolutely nobody is seemingly irrelevant

Gemmill100 will be on here shortly along with all the other nuthuggers.

Even someone like Demeteius Hopkins would beat Brook IMO.

Brook has shown a bit of handspeed, accuracy and power, but against who? He doesn't even have a 'Prescott moment' like Mitchell has, and that's hardly a good win.

Brook at the moment is all hype. Someone like Alfonso Gomez would be a perfect opponent for him, and a potential banana skin IMO.

I mean, how high do you want to leve your chin in the air after throwing? You won't land every time outside of domestic class Kell, there are time when you might hit back by someone better than Barrie Jones.

Didn't even see him tested against Jennings, and he hardly looked a force of nature against a feather fisted European class fighter with no workrate for the rounds it went.

I am overly cynical with Brook I guess, but it's hard not be with the hype he gets, which is completely nonsensical.

Beat Paup Snith and then we can start talking.

I'd be more inclined to put Warren Fox off Hollyoaks in Avid. Jim Branning has the pedigree, but is way past his prime. Given Phil Mitchells fall from grace I'd say there are no 'Enders I can see breaking the top ten at this time, let's see what prospects 'Jims' can produce, eh?

When I saw the list I thought it might have been fairly old as the BBC don't update their boxing info very often. I was very surprised to see the page was updated yeaterday. Ben Dirs used to look after these lists but obviously he's lost it or they have a dummy doing it now who never bother updating it.

    1.Froch
    2.Khan
    3.Haye
    4.Munroe
    5.Burns
    6.Cleverly
    7.Brook
    8.Murray
    9-15. Take your pick.

The only reason I can see for Brook being No.4 on the BBC list is because of the WBO NO.1 ranking. Of course Fwank won that ranking in a WBO lucky bag.

    Not including Macklin or Lee.

Macklin hasn't really beaten anyone either.

He's faced a lot of tailor made opponents and bull**** two week notice jobs..... the best fighter he faced beat him.

I like him but his career has been a complete and utter mess with a million trainers, a million promoters and delusion about being a big ticket seller in the US and a star on HBO.
