Of those active as of the 1/1/90 onwards: 10 Dennis Andries 9 Ricky Hatton 8 Nigel Benn 7 Chris Eubank 6 Duke McKenzie 5 Lloyd Honeyghan 4 Naseem Hamed 3 Carl Froch 2 Joe Calzaghe 1 Lennox Lewis This includes results prior to 1990 for some fighters listed.
#1 McMillan #2 Watson #3 Hamed #4 Eubank #5 Calzaghe #6 Lennox #7 Benn #8 Hatton #9 Khan #10 Haye or Froch (close) Raggamuffin peaked in the mid-80s. Steve Robinson and Paul Hodkinson are big candidates, especially Hoko, and I suppose Duke for the win over that Kronk guy (Canizales?). Colin McMillan before you shoot me down, had the most talent and aesthetic ability for me and in 1991/92 it looked like he would go on and beat everyone. Herol had his moments in the 90s (Jackson/Brewer pre-KO's, Johnson, Paz). But like Ragga, he was at his best in the mid-80s. As did the other Bomber, Bruno, have his momements (Lennox pre-KO, McCall).
Re-done after thinking about it 1 Lewis 2 Calzaghe 3 Eubank 4 Benn 5 Hamed 6 Andries 7 Thompson 8 Hatton 9 Froch 10 Robinson
1. Lennox Lewis 2. Joe Calazghe 3. Naz 4. Nigel Benn 5. Chris Eubank 6. Ricky Hatton 7. David Haye 8. Carl Froch 9. Duke McKenzie 10. Johnny Nelson
Eubank Lewis Calzaghe Naz Benn Froch Hatton Haye Brook Khan Watson was 0-3 in world title fights and Andries did nothing in the 90's..
If we only include fights after 31/12/89 (which I think is what is wanted) then my list goes: 10 Amir Khan 9 Dave 'Boy' McAuley 8 David Haye 7 Ricky Hatton 6 Nigel Benn 5 Chris Eubank 4 Naseem Hamed 3 Carl Froch 2 Joe Calzaghe 1 Lennox Lewis
