British pakistanis have finally found a role model, a patriotic brit who is doing a lot to rid of the " us v them" a lot of us used to have. a true role model, i expect there to be a flood of brit pakistanis in the pro ranks over the next decade, as there a quite a few in the ametuers and most boxing clubs are (especially in the north) are full of us. long live amir khan a shining light for british pakistanis.

Most of the novice group I train with are Pakistanis. For some reason I've always gotten on really well with Indians and Pakistanis :think

I work with Indians and they are always joking at how atrocious they are at sport. Its so bad that they are happy to recall the glory days of the Olympic mens hockey team from 20-30 years ago!

The thing is ,thge orig poster has come on with a good ,nice message .but he seems to ommit that khan has siad in the past he thinks if he was white he would have been recived better by the boxing public .i find that offensive that i wouldent like him becuase he is of asian desent ,when the reals reason isdidnt like him was because he dodged so many other boxers and he thought he was better than he was ,recently he has started to man up a bit .

Lol well we (I'm a Pakistani) are pretty awful. The only thing we seem to be naturals at, is cricket. And even that we have to f*ck up

Haha, nah mate my parents looked up our family tree a few years back. My English family lived in the north east forever. My Scottish family lived in Scotland forever and my Swedish family may go back to Russia but that's only speculation and its hundreds of years ago.

Can't really comment on them. For the last month they were away for Ramadan, and I've only trained there for 2 months. I haven't sparred any of the Asian lads yet, or seen them spar

What the **** are you on about? I stated I get on with Asians particularly well. More so, generally, than most other people. I'm only commenting on my own experiences

Its not like I said 'Wow, when you speak to Asian people they actually seem normal!'

  13. what the hell is a british pakistani?

he was born in britain and lives in britain hence he is british.

Im a londoner but my mum was born in galway, doesnt make me a london-galwegian does it

you guys need to stop trying to find ways to seclude yourself and just accept that if you were born and live in a certain country then you cannot affiliate yourself with any other one

 I think he may have been exaggerating a tad bit. If Old Trafford can't even house 100,000 people, I doubt 22 Indian men kicking a ball around with bare feet could draw more.

They barely fill half of that for cricket, never mind football.
