The BUI aint got a website let alone ratings so we rathered some of Irish boxing's most knowledgable reporters and everyone has a vote - those votes are correlated and bingo - ratings!

You know what, sometimes rob, you are a knob, but sometimes you are a genius. Your rankings are great, good effort mate!

 

I don't like the fact that if the BBBoC do have a ratings system that they don't publish them. It leaves them open to suspicion and allegations of corrruption. I for one don't think the BBBoC are suspect but such an arcane approach is completely out of touch with the reality of boxing in 2011.

Well out of interest will you start ranking Paul smith as a middleweight once he's had a fight at middle?

 

once he has had a fight at 160 or at least close to I will move him back down. Probably behind Martin Murray unless he fights someone spectacular or gets beat.

 

I actually voted Frankie ahead of Dean in those ratings but others didnt - some did. In fact there was only a couple of points between the pair when all the votes were tallied up - 125 to 122.

So far about half the votes are in and its equal between the two - 74-74.
