British SPMW title fight right now , Smith vs De Gale who wins ???

Smith for me, he me never live up to his reputation, but Degale is a pitter pat fighter at the moment, and unless he makes drastic improvements, i see a landslide victory for Smith.

 

I can't believe so many people are jizzing in their pants over degale. **** in the ring, and **** flaps out of the ring. He just can't help himself.

 

People will always bash and nut hug in equal proportions, but the things that I find most surprising in all of this is the complete lack of respect for a domestic champion!

Whether you like Smith or not, the fella won a British title in the ring. Props for that.

The way I see it, Smith beats both DeGale and Groves at the moment. Given that the fight would be a 12 rounder and the vast gulf in experience. In 12-18 months - who knows.

I reckon Dodson will beat outpoint Smith. Hopefully Doddo then gives Magee a fight, after which the rankings in this weight will be much more clear.

For the time being, why the hate on Smigga? He's not super six material but he's a solid domestic champ.

Yes and it made me cry in dispair.

 

He is a first class **** of the highest order but the kid has talent (they dont give gold medals away), and that talent will get him far enough against the likes of Smith.

Smith does not strike me as being super dedicated, often struck me as a guy slightly disillusioned with the game - was he not a nightclub DJ til recently plus looks quite flabby at s middle?

In all seriousness, Smith by dominant decision, possibly stoppage. I've given him a bit of stick on here, some of it fair, some perhaps a bit unfair, but DeGale hasn't exactly stood out in his fights to date - laboured like **** in his first fight, his second opponent wouldn't beat my 2 year old nephew.... though Nathan King and that other geezer whose name escapes me were both half decent.

If Smith gets past Dodson he ought to be looking at Magee next or a return with Quigley..... DeGale needs to face someone with a chin before looking at domestic titles.

 

On the scales against quigley was in good nick, and on the night too. He gave up the DJ'ing circuit to ensure he dedicated himself fully. Maybe that was the issue about 6-8 fights ago. however, he made a switch to buddy mcgirt, which was not a good move.
