All the talk of Fielding Vs Callum Smith has me thinking about the Lonsdale belt & some of the recent fights that have turned out to be belters...

Some have been absolute shocking (Cardles recent win) but my pick of those that delivered are

    Groves - Degale
    Galahad - Di ck ens
    Saunders - Blackwell
    Saunders - Eubank
    Blackwell - Ryder
    Crolla - Mathews
    Rose - Maxwell 2

& I feel that Eggington - Foot will be added to this list, and Nurse - Jenkins will give Cardle a challenge as the most unentertaing title fight of the year..

I thought cradles last fight was quite decent to be honest. What were Ryan and Hibbert fighting for on the 02 card? Can't remember now but that was a belting fight

Think that was Ryans commonwealth & Hibberts WBC thingy , yeh that was a belter..!

No, have to disagree with the Carlde fight lol, I've only ever been entertained by him once & that was when he won the English. Don't get me wrong he has a winning style, obviously. And he's very good at what he does, making the other kid miss a lot. But it's not my cuppa tea I'm afraid.

Yeh that was a cracking fight, though I wasn't really going that far back - just last give years or so, there's a million & one from 2000's and earlier - in fact seemed every Lonsdale fight back then was one for the ages..

I think it's fair to say British title fights deliver to a higher level of entertainment regularly than most world title fights...

Yeh both those were good fights..! Buckland and Sykes love a good tear up!

As do Rees & Mathews, Rees buckland was another good one but not for the British.

Brilliant fight! Jones v Moore was another one quite a while ago but had to mention it.
