Can somebody explain to me what Booth or Gallagher have done which is particularly 'stand out' ?

    Our trainers are doing well

Frankie Gavin has improved 10 fold since going pro and was stated as the olympian who'd struggle the most when he turned over BUT has looked the best one by a considerable bit if you ask me, That's down down to himself and Arnie!! They both put in a lot of hours and hard work and it's paying off!!;)

Jimmy Tibbs is a master of a coach and Kevin needed him for every min in the Prescott fight he really did, I think Jimmy Tibbs is a Hall Of Fame coach without any doubt in my mind..:good

    What's wrong with Adam Booth?

There have been many haters, doubters & critics of Booth, even more so after Haye lost to Carl Thompson. Where are those same people now I wonder? They are obviously hiding somewhere eating their humble pie on the quiet!

David Haye has said himself that while its him that does the boxing, Booth has contributed massively to his success & credit must go to Adam! Booth is the trainer of the newly crowned WBA HW champion. Not bad for a guy who many people said he could not do it & who wished him to fail!

I'm not saying Booth deserves or does not deserve Trainer of year, but a case for him is justified. Same applies to Joe Gallagher imo.

Joe Gallagher shouldn't be getting a mention in this thread IMO

Macklin. A good win. Can't really give gallagher too much credit for one punch which literally ended the fight
Murray - Gallagher should take blame for his fighter losing his belt on the scales. and everyone including Thaxton's dad knew it was a gimme.
Crolla - Crolla's always been a good boxer with a good chin. No way on gods earth was he losing that fight with Brodie
Fehintola - Razak and Thorpe :rofl

Dont give me such a sugar coated terd :good

Booth is a good trainer for David Haye. He doesn't come across as the greatest tactician in the world but what he does do is stay very calm, he wastes no time in the corner, his advice is clear and concise. Plus for David Haye with the relationship they have it just works. I think they talked a good game and in terms of the gameplan they obviously laid out it worked to a tee so I'd say Booth is worthy of trainer of the year.

Tibbs did a similar thing with Mitchell in the way he laid the blueprint out and got it down perfectly but I'd go for Booth based on the world title win.

I know what your saying but I couldn't pick Booth based on one performance to be fair

Yeah..I actually don't think Booth is a great trainer. He's kinda like Enzo in the sense he works really well for one fighter because of the chemistry. If I had a top prospect I doubt I'd be knocking on Booth's door. But then again I wouldn't be knocking on too many of the other British trainers door either. People are talking about Gallagher or Arnie but they are just prospects right now. There are no great proven British trainers which is a concern.

Thats why I laughed at the prospect of Gallagher. I know Arnie and would have like to put him on here, but as good as his little stable is when they start winning titles then he can be considered. He won't be judged to be a success until he starts winning titles which I have no doubts his lads will do. I'm telling you know though mate. Watch out for Ronnie Heffron :good

You have not mentioned who you would have as your trainer of the year though.
