Is it me or did we have numerous world champions a few years ago.
Check me if I'm wrong but all we have is
    Galahad
    Okilie
    Fury
    Suny Edwards
    Josh Taylor

Did we have too many paper champs and as soon as they fought an elite boxer they lost their title?
How many above won it against a real champ ?

We had more champions than the USA a few years ago i think.
I'm sure we were at 14 or 15 at 1 point, but as stated we had people like Crolla, Terry Flanagan and Scott Quigg as champions.
That says all that needs to be said about the state of boxing at the time when people like that were 'World Champions'

    Edit :

    Of the Above
    • Galahad won a Vacant belt
    • Okolie won a Vacant Belt
    • Fury is a G and beat the Champ
    • Sunny beat the champ although faded
    • Josh Taylor has the best resume in British Boxing is is P4P top 5

Your list is incomplete as we have Terence Harper, Savannah Marshall, Chantelle Cameron and Shanny will soon regain her world title.

    Probably a troll thread.

We may have only 5 current male world champions. You're saying that like it's a bad thing. But that's more current world champions than 97% of countries in the world at this moment.

Josh Taylor (undisputed, all 4 world titles in his division) and Tyson Fury are both number 1 in their division. And both top 10 P4P , so we have more current P4P fighters than 99% of countries in the world.

There's plenty of countries in the world that have never had a single world champion ever, such as Turkey.

UK might not be doing as well as a few years ago, but it's still one of the top nations in the sport.
