Close fight but Joe C won.

There was no arse kicking on either side.

Only some prison shower antics in the 7th or 8th that Joe won as well. Probably the most entertaining part of the fight........

Calzaghe. I didn't even think it was all that close, when it was announced as a split decision I could see the robbery coming but thankfully 2 of the 3 had some sense.

Hopkins lost fair and square to Calzaghe. IMO that was a Prime LHW Version of Hopkins as well.

That being said, Calzaghe and Hopkins most likely hand jobbed each other after the fight. The sexual tension was thick in the air that night.

Calzaghe won easily. BHOP was his usual cagey self and got a flash knock down. But calzaghe swarmed him with activity

BHOP didn't even know where his corner was for most of this fight. Dude was just confused at the pace that Calzaghe was able to fight at.

:patsch You didn't read what I said,

Hopkins had a MW Prime and a LHW Prime.

I didn't mean Hopkins was in his physical prime. Far from it, but he was close to his boxing LHW Prime.

Calzaghe was no longer in his physical prime either. Joe's style requires a lot of youthful energy.

He was probably coked out of his mind. Joe had a bad habit. He's still the best SMW of all times though.

    :deal

Joe beat Hopkins even though Hopkins tried to pull several dirty tricks to get points deducted from him and catching his breath, get over it.

I actually thought it was a draw. A case can be made either way though. Hopkins won the first 6 rounds without question. Joe stepped up his slappage over the remaining six and Hopkins slowed down. If Hopkins had kept his foot on the gas he would have won easily, but when you're old I guess you can't do that over 12 rounds, which is what I'm positive Calslappy was banking on and the whole reason he decide to take the fight in the first place. The really funny thing is as great as Calslappy's fans think he truly was, he should have dominated the declining Hopkins with his girly slapping, but he didn't. I guess it's a little different when you're not in the ring with reality show fighters like Manfredo and Bika.

i thought it was a very close fight, not very exciting to watch against a 43 year old hopkins
