Brits - what US American fighters do you respect?

I'm a Brit TS, but it looks to me like you're trying to start a bit of a war.

I respect ALL guys of ALL nations who are willing to step into the ring to hurt each other and get hurt for public entertainment. They only lose that respect if they do something that either damages the sport itself or other boxers (such as PEDs or loaded gloves) or something that hurts others outside of the ring which I'd despise them for just on general principles anyway(such as domestic abuse).

Good enough?

 

I never understood this major division between ESB posters from the states and from the UK, to me boxing is boxing and I don't root for guy based on where he comes from, rather just how good of a boxer he is.

Well I'm an American and I have a lot of respect for many fighters that came out of the U.K. The 2 guys off the top of my head are Lennox Lewis who was really never in a boring fight throughout his career, and the great Jimmy Wilde. To all those Uber-Calzaghe fans, go watch a video on Mr Wilde and most people will recognize quickly that HE is the greatest fighter to ever come out of the United Kingdom, and it's not even close.

I always thought of this reasoning as pretty dopey. These guys are just fighting, in controlled environments. Fighting isn't that much of a big deal in my eyes, to where I should offer my respects.

 

Im a Puerto rican-American and i have great respect for Froch .
He refuses to be another protected fighter and always wants to test himself against the best . Hes not the typical UK fighter , How can you not respect that ?

I'm a Scot and i respect all boxers that don't cheat.
In other words i don't respect manny or RJJ or mosley or margarito or tyson or Hopkins or durran...
Duran and RJJ are the ones i respect the least
