    HOLY FARKIN SHYTE a thread written from a really unbiased PERCPECTIVE :good:good

    loved reading this thread and well done, recapped most of the thingz i waz thinkin better then i could of u ******* ;)

    one thing i would add is that i think brockz stand up should be able to be capable of improving a fair bit even if he'z just trained like crap on DEFENSIVE STAND UP. randyz standup IMPROVED dramatically over the course of hiz career then again randy worked like a dog to improve it. brock appearz to be open to listening to hiz trainerz so should be interesting.

    Uh... no... Carwin is lucky Brock chose to fight to Carwins strengths, and Brocks weakness.

    The fight would have been totally different from one minute on if Brocks focus was to just continue to spear Carwin until he got him down, then GNP him all night....

    but even with him giving Carwin every chance in the world to win, he still ended it in round 2.

    Of course it wasnt pretty, this is your guys's sport..... you should know it better then you do if you thought Brock vs Carwin was going to be pretty. It is what it is, two monsters going at eachother....

    Keep hating, fact is Brock took Carwins best, came back and took him out quick in the second round.....

    Realistically the fight should have been stopped as Brock wasnt defending himself for significant periods in round 1. That said you have to feel for Carwin. Brock got 400k. And Carwin got a measely 40k and a potential robbery from the ref.

    surely brock got more then 400k for this fight? hes a massive drawcard, heavyweight champ, ex wwe entertainer, coming from a long layoff, thats not much money if the case....
    and carwin getting 40 k? thats got to be wrong?

    Mir also got 40k for fighting Brock. The UFC does not pay ****. It is pathetic. 40k for a title shot? :lol::rofl:patsch

    Wow what a joke of a fight. Broch has no stand up game and a china chin, he actually turned his back and ran away and then curled in the foetus position! This is ultimate fighting? Really?

    As for the other guy, he gassed after throwing 10 punches!

    What a farce! I actually think if Toney wasn't shot to **** he would KO most of this guys before they got a chance to get it to the ground! Their stand up skills are TERRIBLE!

    I disagree scurla but i see where your coming from,

    i dont see why, unless people are just brainwashed into thinking that anytime someone is getting beat on, they should be stopping the fight.

    Ya, brock was getting beat on and was covering up.... so what?

    Im not one of those people that think as soon as a guy starts punching the other while one guy covers up that the ref should jump in there and stop the fight. And this fight is a prime example.... Brock was on his feet and controlling carwin against the cage before the round even came to an end. If the ref would have stopped the fight because brock was covering up while getting punched on the ground, the wrong man would have won.

    They let the fight go to its natural ending, and the right guy won. If the ref would have stopped it, carwin would have won because in someones opinion it should be stopped. While in reality, brock was able to take everything carwin threw... and stopped the fight for real himself.

    There is a difference between a guy getting pounded into submission (in which the guy will tap, or quit between rounds) getting pounded until hes no longer conscious, or even the ref jumping in if a guy is just getting completely overwelmed and is becoming defensless, brock was getting beat up but was withstanding the beating.

    So we will just have to agree to disagree.... the ref made the right choice and let the fight continue, and the better fighter won.

    Brock proved he has a chin and a ton of heart. I don't see anyone that is not a submission specialist defeating him any time soon.

    Lesnar showed he has a great chin and alot of heart! Carwin almost knocked him out in the first, In a way carwin out manned the manster! Brock kept his cool and submitted shane in the 2nd round.... At the end of the day brock showed he has the heart of a champion but he has to be careful with certain fighters because his stand-up is not the best!
