He was a dude with 5 or so fights under his belt, seriously. He got exposed in his last fight and exposed again. You cant compete at the top with a few years of experience.
I disliked the guy until his last few fights, but he wasn't completely overhyped. Dude just didn't like to get punched was his biggest weakness. I don't understand where all his wrestling experience really was by watching him on the ground even... He'd just hold them down, and hammerfist. Never really seemed like he ever had a gameplan in most of his fights. Of course he'd be a better fighter if he had trained solely for the cage, but he had a lot of things going for him already with his wrestling, size, strength, and athletic ability. For where he came from... He did well.
yeah, thats right I still give him much credit for being more entertaining than guys like defence master gsp or dancing around guy anderson silva, realy
Definitely overhyped. You still have to give the dude credit though. He could've easily made a lot of money fighting cans instead of coming straight to the UFC.
feel well bad for the guy. got put in with carwin, cain, and ubereem in his few short matches. for a guy with little experience of real fighting, thats horrendous
The man took an absolute pounding from Shane Carwins humungous fists that no man should have ever came back from, but somehow Brock did... & people say his weakness was not liking getting hit? Having just visited this forum for the first time, I am gobsmacked that people give the man no respect cos he got done by the flying kneed dutchman.
nobody likes being hit, but he doesn't react like a fighter does when he hit This content is protected
you dumb ma****er atsch When Floyd gets hit hard, he usually ends up walking the guy down by the end of the round. Or sometimes right away This is how a fighter reacts to being hit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBSTd4rSwv4&feature=player_detailpage#t=433s And if it hurts you bad enough that you need time to recover, then you have him holding on vs Mosley.
