Brock doesn't need to evolve. He will never be a great striker. He just needs to stick with his A-game. He is a wrestler and his strengths will always lie there. He tried to strike too much with Velazquez when he should have been trying harder to use his strikes to set up his wrestling.

Boom. Thats why this well rounded crap doesnt wash with me. Stick to your strengths. Brock didnt. But then again Cain has a great wrestling pedigree too. Ultimately what Brock lacked was experience end of story end of thread.

Look at the history of Brock Lesnar. He doesnt stay anywhere that long. His attitude and the way he treated New Japan Pro-Wrestling was disgraceful!!!

The whole well rounded thing is why Cain won the fight, they were matched well as wrestlers and Cain was better in other areas. It was going to happen as soon as someone was able to take him out of his comfort zone.

Brock can still be a force in the world of mma, however, I don't think he'll ever be able to get in amongst the very elite. Of course, there's no shame in that, I'd only put Cain and JDS to beat him in the UFC.

Keep telling yourself that. Well rounded? Since when was Cain a striker? What's Cain like from the back? What's he submission game like? These are all questions that have no been answered because Cain also is a rookie in this sport. Cain won because he has far more experience than Brock in MMA. Experience wins fights. Not intimidation and just talent alone. Brock has the lata in spades.

:thumbsup:thumbsup Boom. Brock does what he wants and gets away with what he wants because he's soo dam talented. He's departure from the WWE and his beef with Vince wasnt that much different to what he did to NJPW.

I'm agreeing with you, all I'm saying is that Cain has more to his game than Brock does!

Things are working for Cain, that's why he's the champ so he just needs to keep what he's doing. Nobody knows what he's like from his back because nobody can get him there and keep him there. I don't blame him for not going there to prove some point, especially when wrestlers are generally not great off their backs.

Just because I say Cain is more well rounded than Brock it doesn't mean I think Cain can do everything, it means that I think Cain has more to his game than Brock and when Brock's plan A failed because he couldn't keep Cain down he had no back up plan because he was out matched elsewhere.

I dont even know how well Lesnar would sell now..given his loss....

i remember when Chyna did that celeb boxing with joey butta****oh,...when she lost, i knew she could never go back to wrestling...her whole image in WWE was based on the idea she could beat a man....

in brocks case it wouldnt be as bad for him as losing to butt**** was for chyna..but it would be bad....

Brock would beat most guys at the UFC. The top wrestlers can wear him out but if Cain fights Santos he could lose and then Brock on paper should manhandle a guy like Santos or anyone without exceptional wrestling. Its a shame to see him go 'coz he really is, as they say, the archetypal MMA beast. Brock has no heart at all though and will likely retire.

The JDS fight wouldn't be quite that clear cut if you ask me. JDS has exceptional hands, which Brock does not, and JDS has also proven it is very very hard to take him to the ground. Would be an interesting match up!

He'd have a punchers chance...which is about 1/1000 against a shot like Brocks.

Brock can still do well but, he will not be champion again. I don't see Brock staying after getting beaten so badly though. I also don't think he has any heart. I hope I'm wrong though.
