mir is way past his prime and brock has one fight under his belt but has a huge upside. hmmm. methinks brock gets this one. physical superiority will hide his lack in ground and striking skills until he meets a real threat

I've never seen Lesnar fight. But Mir is very good on the ground, and may not be what he once was, but he is still very experienced. I'm going out on a limb and saying Mir is going to sub him. I think the pressure might build and when Lesnar doesn't bull through and finish him quickly he might actually panic and his strength might work against him and he's going to get caught.

Brock's natural instinct will be to put Mir on his back. Mir's best chance in probably with him on his back. Looks like an interesting situation. But can Mir actually get ahold of one of those arms without Brock pulling it out? Can Mir throw a leg over him and triangle him without Brock pulling out?

Brock's camp should be training his immediate reaction to ANYTHING that feels like a sub attempt. He should be training to explode out of any situation like this. If he does, he has a better chance of avoiding what I think is a 50/50 chance he'll get subbed.

However, if he does get subbed, I suspect he'll graciously accept that he has lot's to learn and get back to work. I think this is precisely why he is fighting a Frank Mir instead of a guy who is more likely to test his chin. Alternativly, if he were to get KTFOd, he'd lose lots of cred immediately.

Even tho Mir's best days are behind him it is still a big step for Brock. I hope he can pass it.

Sad thing is Mir is only 28....his best days shouldnt be behind him...
    hes become lazy, and undiciplined.
Brock Lesnar is going to destroy him WWE style.

Yup on the money there.Mir doesnt stand a chance. His going to get brutalised and badly. He was never that great even when he won the UFC title and imo was a classic right time right place guy.I watched him get pummleled by Cruz and Vera.Lesnar will do the same to him from the mount.Im not expecting this to last any more than a round as Mir wont be able to compete with Lesnars strength.

I believe Brock is immensely strong and powerful. Given his size he looks to have some agility and speed to him. Everything I've seen of his striking game his weak. He looks bad on the bag and I've only seen him hammer/thump someone on the ground. However, I'm sure Brock has been working on becoming a much better combatant.

Truth is we know he has some talent but skill, we just don't know yet.

I don't think this fight without risk.

Lesnar is a rookie and Mir is real quick with the armbar for a HW.

Brock is a MONSTER!! He will crush Mir and the rest of the UFC heavyweight division like they had stole something from him.

I was watching a video of him training and he picked up a 180lb log like it was a pencil! Insane!

It seems most of you seen too many WWE shows, he has potential but saying fighting mir is going to be a cake walk is a tad presumpsious. Mir has great Subs and Brock could be vulnerable to any of them.

To me this is a nice step up. A solid Pro in Frank..... only his 2nd fight in Brock...I know some say that Frank is shot..maybe..but the fact is he is a long time pro, with a very good ground game. In Brock we know he can wrestle someones ass off. Just don't know if he can take a shot. Should be good to see what both have in them.
