Mir is a very competent wrestler as well, former state champ in Nevada, and it definately seems like he still either coaches wrestling or at least follows it in some way, as he actually properly calls wrestling techniques when he announces for the WEC. Most announcers just know "double leg, single leg, clinch" Mir points out which exact takedown technique it is and also points out things like inside leg rides or spiral leg rides when a guy is maintaing back control without wanting to put the hooks in.
