OK I broke my 2nd metacarple bone 10 days ago from throwing a left hook and hitting the top of the head of my sparring partner.... Would it be wise to try fighting in 6 weeks from now at the golden gloves.... I just dont want to re injure my hand, but my coach keeps motivating me to shoot for it and therefore have still been training with right hand, running, doing ab work and ect.... But I would hate to drop alll this weight for nothing and end up hurting myself, but then again I have a very good shot at winning the novice devision... I dont know what to do.... Any advice from people who have broke there hand???

I just going to tell you this, if you are serious about boxsing, then you know the hands are the most pressure commodities for a boxer...that sais, be careful treat them with care and when it comes to injuries lay-off for at least 8m to 10 weeks...keep your training but not boxing for at least that..and whn you come back...you move slow and ahve gaze and tape wraps not cloth wraps...

This is where steroids come in handy, you could have that hand recovered nearly by the GG.
