Broke my nose slightly in my last fight, doctor said I should rest it for abit and not sparr. Anyway, it cracked in sparring tonight. Since the first break it's been very hard to breathe through. Any of you broken your nose and can you tell me much about it?

If it's hard to breath through it could be a deviated septum.

I've broken my nose a few times, and one time I just kept on training, it'd hurt like a ******* when I got hit and I'd often get blood noses. Basically, the deviation causes more pressure in the capillaries on one side, so if you get hit, they're more likely to burst and cause a blood nose. My problem was that it was happening so often that it wasn't healing properly.

Anyways, get your doctor to check it out, if it's badly deviated you might need to get it realigned, especially if it's causing breathing difficulties. It might mean a few weeks off, but you'll be better off in the long run.

Yeah, listen to the doctor. It takes a while to heal up. In the meantime maybe look for a facebar headgear or something like that, because getting hit in the nose while it's broken doesn't really facilitate healing.

you should get that checked and try to stay away from sparring for at least 4-6 weeks. I think fighting in two weeks is a little risky if its a bad one.
