Bronco McKart Battles On

Isnt the NABF like a national title? Karmazin is a Ruski.

 

I think they should try and bring back some prestige back to this. I think the NABF is a legitmate title, North America is a real place after all. They should start by letting only well ranked North American contenders fight for it.

The British and European titles have been diluted by intercontinel, international and fake world belts but they are still considerd legit championships an American title sounds just as legit to me...

I remember Karmazin being European Champion, has there ever been a boxer to hold both the legit EBU title and an official American title...?

 

Agreed to some extent, but we simply have too many titles weather they be state, regional, national, continental or world. Christ, I can't even name them all anymore. I think 15 years ago there was:

IBF - International boxing Federation

WBA - World boxing association

WBC - World boxing council

WBO - World boxing organization

IBC - whatever the **** that stands for

IBF - intercontintental

WBC - Continental America

WBA - Continental America

NABF - North American boxing federation

USBA - United States boxing association

Now you have all kinds of **** like the WBF, IBO, etc, etc....

To be honest with you Booradley, I haven't seen Bronco fight since he was more or less a prospect. Its been years, therefore I couldn't tell you for sure. If he still has the fighting heart that he had back when I used to watch him, he may well have a chance.

 

I agree there are many useless ABC belts that dont mean anything, but america is a place its not like being an intercontinental champion or a youth champion.

I see a problem though that the World orgs have invented their own american titles which dilutes the whole idea of having a legit american champion in the first place.

I remember when IBF want to make a IBF-UK title and the British Boxing Board of Control told them to **** off and they dumped the idea, its a shame the NABF didnt/doesnt have the influence of the BBBofC as imo it sounds like a legitamate championship...

 

I think its evenly matched as Karmazin isnt at his peak either but he is still a talented customer and would pick the former European champ to win.

 

I thought McKart looked surprisingly good against Marquez in what turned out to be a very good fight. I expected him to be completely shot and actually he wasn't.

Still, there's no question this is a degraded version of McKart. Even the younger McKart wasn't overly physically gifted with speed and/or ability, just a workmanlike fighter with great will.

I've only seen Karamazin once, but even at 35 he should have enough to beat Bronco. If forced to predict, I'd take Karamazin by late stoppage.

I was reading an article on here about Riddick Bowe's fight on the Klitschko v Rahman undercard. Apparently Riddick Bowe's opponent 14-12 fighter Gene Pukkal is also a former World Heavyweight Champion of the WAA variety. I must say I have never heard of the WAA before.

 

Boo, I'm a Bronco fan, with him being a fellow Michiganian. In his prime he was a solid boxer and was a tough out for anyone. He's well past his prime, but I can't say for sure what will happen on December 20; I just don't know enough about Roman. I'll definitely be pulling for "Superman" Mckart. It would be nice to see him pull out another solid performance and pick up the win.
