I think we get too much of Anthony Mundine's bull**** in the media already. Asking different questions isn't going to improve the quality of his answers.
He doesn't give interviews to people who will ask anything outside of a per-determined script, hence this way he has his scripted answers at the ready. If you dare challenge him to a fair question, your deemed a 'hater'. Sad in life when you can't be considered objective... What's more sadder, when your that insecure like Mandy is, you can't be asked the question.
Imagine him with an interviewer who possesses the skill of Andrew Denton and the aggression of a Jones or a Hadley, combined with a realistic understanding of Mundine's boxing career. It would be compelling. I think the Mundine circus will continue to fascinate the media post-boxing. I'm not so confident that it will be a happy story. I hope that I'm wrong.
Its sad that you have buzz rothfield and james pandaram doing two page spreads on mundine now. Pandaram has covered boxing for 5 mins and rothfield??? Lol. The only boxing gloves he has seen are hanging off rear view mirrors. Tragic. Its a niche sport with niche boxing journo's to go with it.
Sydney sports journalists could be called, more realistically, gossip columnists. I'm as guilty as anyone cause I read the **** just to get pissed off **** man, Danny Weidler gets me apoplectic with rage every week. I watch the **** on channel nine and read his column in the online SMH. he is seriously the Molly Meldrum of sports. Everything he writes has an agenda to ingratiate himself with someone - I'm sure even the negative pieces are at the behest of someone he wants to curry favour with. I wonder how much he makes....
I know exactly what you mean mate, that dopey, sheepheaded ranga's always greasing someone up...for a while there he was Mundine's personal journalist :-(
Not a great fight. But it's listed first and is over the most number rounds of any of the listed fights. How is it on the undercard :huh
