Hahaha... Your nose is going to grow Pinnochio!

From what I hear and understand to be true, Mandy's sunk a significant five-figure sum of money into the show to pay for the show running costs and the venue.

No payment for Mandy and relying on his Aust. TV revenue.

Milennium is only a 'beard' as a.) they have a promoters licence in Nevada and b.) most importantly - Mandy doesn't want it known he's had to buy his own spot in the USA!!!!

He's a no one over there and Mandy can't have his dumb bottom feeder following here thinking that he's a dud and no one wants him now can he...

I won't ask you to deny as it's plainly obvious your involved/semi-involved on the promotion so I wouldn't expect a straight up answer. You probably matched the fight as it would fit the criteria.

As for your 'mate' comment - we ain't mates.

and they would never get one again if they grilled him on questions and made him look stupid, dont forget he has banned journos from attending his shows in sydney because he didnt like what they wrote about him in the papers.

"Mundine had signed a three-month contract with Las Vegas promoter Cameron Dunkin to pursue a big name opponent and met with Top Rank executives but was considering other options until a phone call from Millenium Events' Australian representative Brendan Bourke.

''That call was just fate,'' Mundine said. ''I thought I was down and out. I have been nine months out of the game and I have waited this long for no reason.

''I went with some of the best agents in the game to make it happen. I was in the mix for some big fights but they just never came through. I was disappointed and couldn't understand it.

''I was praying and I asked for God's help and direction because I was leaning towards giving away 10 kilograms to fight Green again and I didn't want to do that. I would have been chasing the money rather than the legacy.''

Ultimately, Mundine wants to fight Floyd ''Pretty Boy'' Mayweather jnr and he views the fight with McKart as a step towards that, but also knows he has to put on a show to build a following in the US.

''I am after one man and he is the best out there,'' Mundine said. ''If I can get to fight him I am one of the few fighters who has a high chance of beating him because of my speed and size and footwork.''

Bourke said Millenium Events, whose chief executive is Kostya Tszyu's former manager Vlad Warton, has a US television deal to provide 12 bouts a year and needed a former world champion to fight McKart so he contacted Mundine.

''Choc needs to make the American market take notice so he has to go over there and fight ex-world champs until he gets his shot at the title,'' Bourke said. "

 Looks like ash is in the business of digging up US corpses for Mundine to fight now...wonder if Mundine remembered his name this time?

    Its funny...

For every fighter not named trout, its about legacy not money.

For trout, its all about the money not legacy.

    Bit weird? :)

"It is not the fight that I wanted or I earned as far as a big fight, but that was the offer that came and there was nothing else happening so I had to take it".

And you could almost hear Austin Trout singing "What about me" in the background :patsch

Never mind. He's had to settle for Showtime and Delvin Rodriguez

Is this fight a 100% set to be held in USA ? I just find it hard to believe and it wouldn't surprise me if it end up being held in Oz.

I'm not involved, just know the score. That said I wouldn't discuss the intracacies on a forum be it this fight or a young guy having a debut 4 rounder at the local RSL.
