Lethal Injection - someone is going to sleep!

Ace Boxing has taken the promotions back to the Old School with 8 Local matchups and one hell of a main event.
Cyclone Tongia needs to impress here to secure his shot at the Australian Title later in the year. Aswin Cabuy is fresh of an outstanding performance against Jason Hartmann and is dropping in weight to meet Tongia at 69.85, many expect him to be stronger and sharper than his last fight.

Ace Boxing's regular stars fill the reainder of the undercard and their legion of fans will have the Broncos Leagues Club pumping from the opening bell.

    Full card is as follows
    Light Middleweight
Tyrone Tongia SC Aswin Cabuy 6

Best of luck with the show. Best of luck to Aswin too, he'll test Tongia.

hartmann let aswin stay on his feet to get some rounds out of him.Tongia should win comfortably.some very good local match ups.should be very entertaining.

Aswin is a sneaky chance of an upset. He trained hard for this one. Not sure Tongia has faced a southpaw yet??? maybe he has, just can't think of one.

  5. Looks like a quality card there. I've seen Aswin before, always wanted to see him again under another light! Big night for him.

Be good if Phil Austin was here Ty, he could have told us as he would have been in attendance.

was asked if he wanted to continue and actually fight after repeatedly tripping his opponent, he replied no and was DQ'd by the ref

yeah would be good but not for that reason alone Leon.. we been down this road before m8 please dont try to lure me down it again, ive nothing against Phil i think he does wonders for aussie boxers and deserves alot of credit.

Theres other people in attendance so i just had a look around and read a few bits here & there about why he was DQ, some are saying it was a TKO.

From what I understand ref's call was DQ even though probably should have been a TKO, now Cabuy is foistered on the Victorian public next week.... but then again those ****s probably deserve it.

i hear he is fighting next week in mexico then again the week after? He quit in the ring so it should be TKO? and he shouldnt be allowed to box for 30 days?.. the DQ is a reward because he can now box again the week after. Discrace imo

I didn't see the fight, but was told that Cabuy didn't understand what the ref was saying and for whatever reason, said NO, meaning something other than not wanting to continue.

Apparently Tongia threw him to the ground or wrestled with Aswin earlier in the fight and Cabuy retaliated later when he was on the ropes or in a corner.

Again, I didn't see it and don't know what actually happened or whether Cabuy quit.

DQ was the official result I was told.
