Seeing as a welterweight with a 5lb advantage is too much to handle, we can't say 147. He'd have to dehydrate 10-15lb for 140, and we know what dehydration does to punch resistance...and we know Garcia, Matthyse, and Provodnikov can punch. Could he realistically lose 5lb and then drain another 15 to fight at 135? If so, he can enjoy a nice size advantage to make up for his lack of skill. The problem is he'd be fightng guys who weren't almost dead from dehydration, and those guys would be Crawford, Abril, or Vasquez types. Let's not forget the PDL fight at 130, where Broner came in over 144 and still lost to a blown-up featherweight. What are his options?
I don't understand why he was 156 in the ring yet only weighed 144 on the scales. Why drain an extra 3 lb? Even at the lower weights he can be beaten.
154. He was drained. Put him in with drained Golovkin too. :vonnecunt Soon it will be Heavyweight when he does a Naz after his crushing defeat.
I think he can fight at 147, if he just takes **** seriously. The talent is there, I just question his actual desire to do it in the ring. Maybe going down to 147 until his body matures a little would be good, but he has wide shoulders and can carry the weight. I honestly think he just wasn't used to getting caught by a dude who can bang. We will see though...
