Broner weighed 133 1/2 for his last fight...... That's a full fledged Lightweight. That was his tune up.:patsch

And you can give Broner all the credit you want but Canelo was also signed to fight Paul Williams before Lopez but Williams had his accident. Then Kirkland then Kirkland pulled out. Then Ortiz lost to Lopez so Lopez got the shot.

Wait until Broner actually gets in the ring with DeMarco and then beats him before you give him credit and try and clown Canelo.

how about we agree that theyre both young and really havent proven much but broner is finally taking the oppurtunity to rise to the occasian.
i think canelo is super talented, but my problem with him is that he has been fighting total mismatches on hbo main events and ppv undercards for like three years now. broner has barely bursted on the hbo scene yet hes stepping up now. and they are both the same age.

i love pwill and it would definately have been a step up, but we all know he was fading. and he should have fought kirkland immediately after angulo got beat. despite kirkland having one of the worst chins, i guess he was seen as too dangerous at the time. i just want to see him fight a young determined legit jr middleweight.

i hear that even if trout beats cotto, canelo said he will still fight cotto and not give trout a shot if he wins. i know money talks, but damn.

I really hope Broner actually said the word dint.

All fighters get recognition when they do well enough, Broner gets recognition as a one maybe soon to be two weight world champion, bit too hyped but that's boxing.

You keep exposing yourslef and digging the whole deeper, moron. If you think that early 2010 Mosley at his ideal weightclass coming off one of the biggest wins in his career is the same as 2012 Mosley who was coming off a domination by Maywetaher, a beatdown by Pac and a draw to a bum in Mora then that says all anyone needs to know about your biased agenda. Mosley was absolutely finished by the time Canelo got to him and it was at 154!!!! Once again Canelo bringing up a smaller fighter and and old shot one at that.

Lets make a ban bet, I'll make a thread asking which version of Mosley was better and if even more than 20 percent of the people vote the Canelo version at 154 then I'll leave the site for good if less than 20 percent vote for the version that fought Canelo your biased ass goes. Hows that? I'm willing to concede an entire 30 percent to get rid of your dumb ass for good.

You're bringing up shot to **** fighters, I'm bringing up guys who are still relevant and have had big wins recently. Litzau over Caballero, PDL just won his 2nd title over Gonzalez, Escobedo just beat Juarez and took a prime Katsidis to a SD for the WBO LW title.

Now lets look at Chavez resume:

Lee: hasn't beaten one worldclass fighter. Not even on Escobedo's Level
Rubio: gets beat in all his big fights but a good solid MW, still never a champion so not on the level of PDL who is a 2 time champ. He's proly opn level with Litzau but unlike Litzau he doesn't own a win over a Caballero level fighter.
Duddy: totally done by the time Jr got to him and still never a worlclass fighter

    Canelo:
Baldomir: are we really even talking about an ancient blown up WW? He just got KO'd quicker by Rubio and literally hasn't beaten one decent fighter since 2006. Not even close to PDL, Litzau or Escobedo.
Cintron: coming off 2 losses and a close decision over a journeyman. again not even better than Litzau as a win.
Gomez: journeyman, never championship level but I'll even give you that one as being on par with Litzau
Hatton: c'mon son joke fight vs a guy who wasn't even top 20 in the division below.
Rhodes: his best win against his only legit JMW opponent, on par with Litzau and Escobedo.
Mosley: already went through that and please take me up on the ban bet *****.
Josesito Lopez: The guy who wasn't even good enough to beat Jessie Vargas 2 divisions below. yet another guy Canelo brought up from JWW and who isn't even a top 5 fighter 2 divisions below.

this isn't even taking Demarco into effect who will no doubt be a far better opponent than Canelos next or JCC's next.

How can you even argue this **** with a straight face? I just sonned every point you tried to make. If your ***** ass has a set of balls then agree to the ban bet. I'm giving you overwhelming odds. Like I said anything more than 20% voting for the version of Mosley that fought Canelo over the version that fought Floyd and I'm out, anything less and we rid the forum of your ignorant ass.

i recall some ******* complaining about novel length posts, lol. first to throw rock, first to cry, first to deny he threw rock, first to blame skin color for rock being thrown at him. same **** every day on esb.

a little excessive but to prove a point I figured a breakdown would make sense. do you a disagree with what i said or are you just popping your head out your ass for a bit of attention? I didn't blame skin color for **** for the record. i've just been disagreeing with dude who said broner is more overhyped than canelo and jcc and hasn't beaten as good of opposition when he clearly has and arguably has beaten better. now lets see if ***** boy mans up and stands behind his words with a ban bet where i'm conceeding a 30% advantage.

Broner is just getting his cues from Floyd....not that Floyd even associates himself with the kid but Broner obviously emulates Floyd.

Do African American Fighters get the credit the deserve....absolutely....Do African American fighters get credit the DON'T deserve? With out a doubt!

America as a whole pigeon hold "African Americans" to the realms of "sports and entertainment"....it's an obvious stero-type that isn't 100% accurate but has some validity.

HBO and SHO want, desperately to find ANOTHER ALI...Ray Leonard, Tyson or a 2nd coming of Robinson....so what do they do??

They Hype up guys who look the part....or guys that show similarities in their physical characteristics or personalities.

We have a HUGE list of over hype, black fighters throughout the years that were "expected" by the American boxing fans to be the "next big thing".....but fell short becuase all they were NOT a real Tyson, ALI, Leonard or Robinson..

Don't kid your self....those GREAT black fighters have big shoes that aren't easily filled by just another over hyped Black kid who's got some talent...

For REAL respect and credit a fighter has to be legit.....end of/

In reality African American fighters have an EASIER time getting the support and attention of the US public than a white, hispanic, asian or arab fighter in the states because of the stero-type.

It's a double edged sword that the over hyped fall on....and the REAL talents end up wielding as they chop through the ranks to greatness.

Shocking development: an African American fighter complaining that black fighters don't get their due. In other news, the sun will rise tomorrow.
