Everytime I see Broner and all the Floyd clones, this song verse always pops in my head. "And so many times You practice in your mirror To be just like me But you just can't see You ain't got the b*lls, son"
He needs to stop tryin to emulate floyd. He is not floyd, you cant copy floyds style unless you got the same attributes as floyd and he doesnt, nobody does. If floyd wasnt so technically gifted with the reflexes he has he wouldnt be half as good and wouldnt be as rich and famous as he is. Infact the yanks would all dislike and mock him just like they do broner.
Someone needs to sit him down have a real conversation with him. Tell him to drop the clown act. Tell him his career is at the tipping point and that thousands of other athletes have headed down the road he is headed. He needs to re-dedicate himself and that takes character. It has been done. We will see if he can do it.
He has money that he earned himself and has some impressive skills, whilst nowhere near what he ever assumed he was, you have to respect that. Maidana and Porter are not exactly terrible losses, but they stamped out in clear letters he is not an elite fighter nor the next ATG nor mini-Mayweather. He also struggled with guys he should've beaten comfortably if his ceiling was as high as he yelled. The rest of it... he has some corny lines that are so re****ed they are funny sometimes.. other than that, a complete clown whose tiring circus tent is going to collapse on him sooner rather than later, it's already propped up only by his swiftly dwindling ego.
I'm sure Floyd or someone else has already had that talk with him. I can't see how they haven't at this point. I want to like Broner, I really do, but his About Bullsh*t attitude is something I don't think he can get rid of. I might be in the minority when I say that I think that's really him. I don't think it's an act anymore. As others said, I think years from now he'll look back and realize he blew a golden opportunity.
