Rees isnt even the best in the uk and he was well in that fight. Anyone with fast hands and world level skills has a chance againt broner imo. Gamboa, khan alexander, these are all guys who take him to school.
Broner fought Rees because he was a sure loser, a midget who had no chance, yet even he landed punches on Broner. No wonder Broner refuses to fight Guerrero. Watch the video...........
u r totally underestimating rees. he is a tough little fighter who always brings it. i knew he would give broner a tough fight until broner found his groove mid way thru the 3rd
If Gavin Rees was not ultimately so disadvantageous in terms of size and power, I think there's a fair chance he'd have been able to make a dent in a Broner that stood straight up and left a very open ribcage for Rees to dig into early. I like Broner, he's entertaining and he has a very fan friendly style. Now the only thing I ask from him is to fight a legitimate threat, meaning someone of his own size.
this is the funny thing he eventually has to step up and 140 and 147 are hot right now people are hatin on him so much now because they know once he beats someone legit they cant say ****
Broner was right there, refused to sign the contract. Broner needs to fight Golovkin, Martinez, Void, or even Pac. Fact is, the Klitschkos would knock Broner out easily, very easily, Broner is not the best fighter on the planet, The Klitschkos are. The rest, in all divisions are under them. I think Ward should fight Vitali or Vlad, afterall, Spinks fought Holmes...............
The criticism of him is in place, I'd say.. after all, he fought Antonio DeMarco and whipped on him, Gavin Rees was a massive step down in competition. I don't know that people hate him, I'm a growing fan of his work inside the ring. All I ask of him is to step up his level of competition and fight people his own weight.
people said he wouldnt find DeMarco then he destroys him then its hes too big i dunno why he fight Rees im guessin they tried to get Burns first if he doesnt fight Burns/Vasquez winner he has to move up to 140 and theres no soft touches there all good fights
He'll likely continue to improve. He's proven to be a solid fighter, but he got hit far too much against a guy below world championship level for the way he talks and the hype he gets.
