Broner fought with absolutely no respect for Rees. He didn't give a **** about getting tagged or defending much because he didn't need his full arsenal to beat this guy. I hate Broner's antics, but damn is he an exciting fighter. The guy takes risks and adjusts to his opponents, and always has offense on his mind. I want to see him at 140 already. 135 has no one to give him any sort of problems.
you realize that if he was fighting garcia, rios or matthysse he'd be more focused on D right? vs a guy like rees he knew nothing was hurting him so he took liberties and didn't give a **** about getting hit.
I think broner needs to wait a while longer before taking a competitive fight. Let's keep putting him in against over-matched opponents and pretending he is unbeatable. Let's see how that goes first.
INB4 Boxrec Larry mentions he just beat a former 140 title holder. As if it was more then what it was, a stay busy fight. I do have to agree with RTB Broner's D and approach looked way better against Demarco, I was impressed with Broner in that fight. I actually prefer watching him fight a more reserved style against tougher opponents, I hope they don't give him anymore clown around type fights. I should have just went to bed because I didn't get much satisfaction watching that bout, kind of a pointless card overall.
no footwork? thought he ran all night from PDL? can't have it both ways ****boy....he hasn't fought anyone he's had to show great defensive footwork against since, he's just straight walked everybody down and shown great footwork along the way by cutting off the ring and ending things before the fight gets halfway through
The man has beat the #1 and #6 at 135 and thats not impressive. And for all the folks talking about Matthysse have you seen the body shots Broners been landing in his last 3 fights ,he gets better and better.Im like to see him in with Gamboa or JMM this year then we can see what he got.
Very well, Burns is much the better fighter right now Rees has seen better days, those past with his lost to Kotelnik, he retired soon after
