both are around the same ageand signed with gbp. but its obvious broner is the least protected of the two. even back when broner won his first belt, he was originally scheduled to fight the undefeated ricky vurns but was ducked, so he had to fight a nobody instead. whens the last time canelo has fought a young prime champion thats ranked #1 in the division? the guy is fresh off of a victory over a jr welter. broner seems willing to test himself against the best and not willing to be called a paper champ in this new division.
Him taking this fight is great let's see what happens in the fight if he comes out victorious then yeah resume wise broner would rank higher imo... But remember the de Leon situation canelo never been trough an emberassing situation like that... But yeah win or lose he should get credit it would equal canelo fighting k9 or trout would be very legit.
i can see demarco giving some problems. im leaning towards broner but it could be a toss up. but u gotta respect the risk hes taking instead of waiting for someone to vacate.
demarco has a great chin and has never been knocked out, not even by valero. demarco, like broner, has improved alot over the years. this is main event worthy and one of the best matchups that can be made in boxing.
Canelo is a more marketable product for GBP. It would make sense for GBP to take greater care with someone like Canelo rather than that Broner guy. The last thing the world needs is a guy who acts like Mayweather out of the ring
