Broner going on that Gary Russell Jr. diet?

    So he has looked anywhere from below average to downright awful in 3 of his last 4 fights and now he is going to feast on a TBA?

    Let's see if he fights the guys he SAYS he wants. I doubt it. He is a Berto: Looks like a Floyd Mayweather type virtuoso...but only when he shadowboxes or fights D level comp. When sh*t gets real they aren't good at handling it.

    Because floyd is a phenom with amazing boxing intelligence and reflexes. You can't imitate that stuff. These guys who try to do it usually get ktfo sooner or later, they should stick to the basics and they may become better fighters. I'd never try copy floyd of all people, takes god given talent in 20 years of boxing experience to hone and perfect that moves, you don't just do it. Same for james toney no one gonna be able sit in the pocket block slip and counter like that for years too come. Takes years too feel that confident in the pocket let alone face guys 4 classes above your weight class, and batter them. These guys that try copy floyd are delusional re****s, most of the tmt, the baby broner and berto.

    Well said. Never tried to copy Floyd myself...in muay thai (which I train in) Floyd's defensive style would simply get destroyed. Excellent for boxing... those that can pull it off.

    Most fighters would over train if they bothered to start now, 12 weeks out, anyways.

    Broner needs to take a bigger step up from his last two opponents. I have no clue who it'll be and am not too sure there are that many great logical options. We'll see. But if he faces another Molina-Taylor-level opponent that would be very disappointing given his status only one year ago.

    If you don't like Broner why do you care about his next fight? how do you even know the date? I am a fan, and i didn't even know that.

    Where did I say I didn't like him? My criticism of him fighting TBA was a shot at Haymon not Broner... although recently he has been getting more distracted from boxing doing this $10k party appearance nonsense.
    I know when he fights because I'm a boxing fan. You call yourself a fan of Broner but had no idea he was going to fight? Wow some fan you are.
