To me, the problem was Broner's failure to Maidana very seriously. It appeared from the get go that Broner thought he was going to walk through the match without working up a sweat. But Maidana was there for a fight, not a dance. He proceeded to attack him and use tactics which, let us say, were not entirely kosher such as a few shots to the gut that were borderline and the use of that massive headbutt. Once he got the better of the former champ, Broner couldn't make a comeback. I thought he could have won the fight - but if there is to be a rematch this time he is going to take his opponent seriously and fight with the proper aggression and determination.

Broner gets credit for lasting 12 rounds, but he is no superstar. Now he has to prove that he is a true champion and not a fraud.

"Massive" headbutt? Borderline low blows? You don't sound biased at all.
I like how you conveniently left out the after the bell punches that Broner threw and his not entirely kosher forearm tactics.

Broner got his ass beat and put in place where he belongs. His confidence is shot and the deficiencies in his game were exposed for all to see. Until he proves otherwise, he's a fraud and his 15 minutes of fame is over.

I actually thought broner would win on points but again he clearly showed he has no foot movement and that was his main downfall IMO

To me his power was lacking. His punching power is decent if you let him hit you, but he doesn't punch hard when he is trading punches. Hell he doesn't even punch when forced to trade.
