Just watched the press conference and it doesn't look like any of the weight he has put on is fat. It was to be expected, but I wonder how this will effect his speed and power... Some carry it up others not so much. Another thing to think about is what will happen if he decides to go down to fight burns (highly doubt it). Jumping up and down in weight classes is not an easy thing to do, no matter what weight class.
He isnt really going up at all,just cutting less weight,so if he goes down in his next fight it wont be a problem at all
bad habit for a fighter to get into. But he is paid money to get in shape. I hope this is not an excuse later on after he loses fights.
Broner is not a small guy,he is compact and stocky, probably walks around at 160. He will be stronger at 147,not as fast(but he will be fighting slower bigger fighters o will still be faster) i see him pushing Paulie around and beating him up
Even though there are certainly many top boxers that maintain a healthy weight year 'round, there are many others that put on an ungodly amount of excess weight between fights. A whole lot more than Broner is showing there. I suspect come the weigh in, Broner will sport the rock physique he usually does. Just a little bigger.
he weighs 150+ all the time, it just mean's he'l shed a little less weight.. fighters are always strong around there natural weight in my opinion, don't get all this cut 20lbs then put it back on in a day, can't do you any good.
Yeah but usually the weight that is put on is more fat than anything else. Losing muscle can take a tole on the body more so than losing fat. And I agree, broner will look like he usually does but with more muscle...Wouldn't be surprised if some scream "Roids"
Broner really isn't that big, I saw apic of him and Danny Garcia nnext to each other and Danny dwarfed him.
have you seen the press conference? No he isnt big in a tall sense, but he packs a lot of muscle on that frame
This. He already weighs 148 at 135. Broner will probably be at 150 meaning Malignaggi will have no size advantages. The difference between these two is that Broner can dehydrate down to 135 but Malignaggi can´t.
Broner is 23 years old and is already walking around at 160 or so. He is a very big lightweight...and will probably be an above average sized welter...Probably Berto sized.
