There is some truth to that but just comparing records is often misleading and don't tell the full story, this is one of them cases.

you are a boxing historian? and you describe yourself as a purist that appreciates solid fundementals...

and i am just a casual fan who knows nothing about the history of boxing or what i am watching because I happen to rate Broner and believe he beats Burns.
and actually anybody else that rates Broner and believes he will beat Burns is obviously a casual boxing fan who knows nothing about boxing, it's history or what they are watching.

it will be interesting to see how many well known people involved in boxing tip/pick Broner to beat Burns (if Burns beats Mitchell), I will start a list of "casual fans".

Why do people bang on and on about Katsidis like Burns beat a top P4P fighter?

Ok I admit I picked Katsidis to beat Burns because I do not rate Burns as highly as most people on here but let's at least be honest Katsidis had lost something by the time he fought Burns, it showed in the fight and it showed afterwards.

Just answer this... What happened in Kats next fight after Ricky? because only top quality fighters beat Kat right?

You completely misunderstood my original post, I said casual fans see Broner with his flashy style and think he's the next Mayweather..

Never once did I say that you know nothing because you tip Broner to beat Burns, that's ludicrous..I know a lot of people who I consider knowledgeable who think Broner beats Ricky.

Broner isn't my cup of tea really, the whole hairbrush thing was pretty funny, but at the same time was cringeworthy

Salido's comments were funnier.. said he'll knock Broner out and get his dad to brush hair after the fight, and salido hasn't even got hair :rofl

 

Katsidis was clearly on the slide after the Marquez fight, but regardless of that It's still a solid win and by far the best of Burns career IMO.

Anyway, I agree, Kats was a solid enough win but little did any of us know the beatings Katsidis took from JMM and Guerrero took something away from him. Albert Mensah beat Kats in his next fight after Burns, for me that puts that win in some sort of perspective.

 

My comment was harsh and I aplogise, I just get wound up with people rating Broner so highly, I just don't see the star talent that some do, he's showed little apart form athleticism and size so far, but he's still young.

Unprofessional little ***** though, can't stand guys who deliberately come in over weight.

 

A load of casual fight fans I know look at Broner and straight away think he's the next Floyd.

He's got talent but he's far from the next Floyd, plus the one thing I don't like about Broner is when he's on the attack he stands a little too square on for my liking.

He's already got people wanting to see him take a beating though so he's doing something right

 

No problem BA, I can understand why Broner rubs people up the wrong way and how he would irritate the bollocks out of some people. I was on here saturday afternoon hammering him because he was/is an absolute disgrace.

He tweets pictures of chocolate bars/junk food all week then turns up 3lb+ overweight with no intention of making weight and from start to finish was so disrespectful towards Escobedo.

Broner then he beats up the smaller man who suffered to make the weight and has his hair brushed during the interview without a care knowing he is moving on with his career.

that said i can't help but rate him.
