You are such a casual at heart, there is a reason that, Matthysse didn't take the huge payday HBO offered for Maidana-Matthysse, because he knows he's not a joke.

 

He's fallowing a long tridition of lightweights skipping or just using the useless light welterweight division as a stepping stone.

They are ok fights but i doubt he fights anyone in the top 10 soon, they will probably try to cash out in a Floyd fight, and Maidana doesnt hit that hard

There's a reason his first fight at the division is powder-puff punching Paulie. Every decent fighter looking for a risk-free victory over a credible opponent targets Paulie.

 

But sometimes Paulie suprises these fighters. Paulie's skills are under rated by many people.

 

Also, hes a proper sized WW.

Broner has been fighting 130/135lbs fighters up until now.

He wont be able to physically bully Paulie.

I think Paulie has the style to cause Broner problems. Broner doesnt have the footwork that a young Mayweather has, and Paulie is constantly moving throwinbg out the flicky jab of his, he wont just plough forward like DeMarco and Rees did.

Paulie is a much smarter fighter than anyone Broner has faced yet,added to the fact that hes a lot bigger than anyone Broner has faced and has been active against a much higher level of fighter than Anyone Broner has faced.

If Broner thinks this is going to be easy work,he has another thing coming.

 

Agreed. I would love to see Paulie surprise Broner and it wouldn't be a great surprise to me, particularly as we don't yet know how Broner's power will be impacted by the move to 147.
