No doubt. But it came against elite pound for pound fighters (sans Baldomir) like Tszyu Cotto and May.
I don't think Judah was really that gifted it was that people hyped him like that and wanted to believe he was. He was a Glass Jawed fighter with no Heart or Ring IQ. Just because Max Kellerman desperately tried to hype him as Sweet Pea with power (all because Judah was from NY) doesn't mean he actually was. Judah was exposed against KT and he never really changed from that fight despite his 8 chances to do such. If Judah was from Ohio nobody would have ever heard of him.
Funny that you cared to mention how hyped-up Judah was, when in fact, Broner is, or shall we say, WAS, being overhyped as well. The only reason why he's a 3 Division Champ is coz his career was carefully manuevered against either tomato cans or fighters significantly smaller than him. Zab wasn't afforded this luxury. The moment he faced boxers, more or less, his own size, he got severely embarassed and exposed as the average fighter that he is.
Why does everyone have to say a fighter is "exposed" when he meets better fighters and is beaten? Zab usually beat B fighters and usually lost to A fighters. He wasnt "exposed". He was what he was, world class, not elite.
Broner is naturally talented, a waste of potential. He has the physical assets but not the mentality to use them.
Honestly...Zab was better he just suffered mentally when it counted. But I can almost agree with the comparisons.
