Broner isn't even big for 130! He's the 2nd shortest fighter at 130 in boxrecs top 10

The kid is 22 and 5'7, he's not huge or towering over welterweights like some idiots on here would have you believe. Average height for a welterweight based on the top 10 averaged out= 5'8 1/2. So no he's actually smaller than most welterweights genius. He's not even huge for the division, he's average! there are plenty of guys at 130 and below that are 5'7 or taller.

You wanna cry about a guy being too big for the divisions he's in look at Donaire who's 5'6 and fighting at Bantam where he literally towers over everyone and he used to fight at flyweight AT 5'6!!!

Or Mike Jones who is 6 feet tall fighting at Welter!!!

Or Ricky Burns who's 5'10 and was fighting at 130 and ran from the division when broner was his mandatory and the fight was all set to go on HBO.

Or Celestino Cabballero who is 5'11 and was at his best at 122!!!

Or Chavez Jr who fights at 160 but walks around close to 200lbs!

Or Khan who is 5'10 at JWW!!

5'7 isn't huge for SFW....you gonna ***** at the other top guy at SFW Uchiyama for being way too big as well? Cause he's an inch taller than Broner.....

    other top fighters at 130 who are taller than Broner: Burgos= 5'8.5, Ao= same height 5'7, Salgado= 5'9, Roman Martinez= 5'8, Litzau= 5'10

In fact going through the top 10 fighters ranked by boxrec at 130 Broner is the 2nd shortest one!!!

    :deal:deal:deal

Oh well we know how it is when a skilled cocky black fighter comes around, everyone gotta get their hate on. Can't stand to see him shine and can't stand to see a young brothers pockets get thick. I'm gonna love seeing the frustration of you pathetic haters during Broner's inevitable rise to boxing superstardom, it kills you muther****ers doesn't it?

I never got the height argument for a guy to move up anyway, guys like arguello, panama al brown, hearns all benefid from having a big size advantage and it was cool as long as you can make the weight, but now with donaire and broner people ***** about it like they did with williams a few years ago.
If someone can make the weight there is no problem, allthough if he weighs in and then rehydrates 20+ pounds its probably safer for your health to move up.
Broner needs to fight the japanese guys and maybe some 126 guys, could be gamboa for example? why not?, he is young and learning, no need to rush.
His hero didnt either back in the day.

Sorry man , this isnt against you , but the heights on box rec are not correct.

I am 5 8 and a bit and have met both Amir Khan( we were same height ) and ricky Hatton ( 5 7) , the guy is 5 6 absolute tops.

Kind of off topic, but did they give the fight day weights for broner/perez?

    If so, what were they?

    Thanks.

Bradley is bigger than all of the fighters at 130 lbs despite being 5'6.

Being big for the weight isn't just about height.

i remember when odh was at 130 standing 5'10 he was a big super feather. broner needs to stay at that weight for the rest of the yr and grow into the higher weights. no let the haters that only want to see you lose rush you into some dumb ****. broner is not even coming in weight drained.

Boxrec's statistics are horribly inaccurate and very dated. They don't get updated.

Broner is about 5'8-9. Khan is 5'9, not 5'10. Burns is 5'8-9, not 5'10.

There is nothing wrong with being big. If you can make weight it's all good.

thing is Broner has never even had trouble making 130, making weight is a piece of cake for him, until it becomes a struggle there's no need for the kid to move up. the only people calling for this are haters that prey on his downfall, gonna be a shitty few years coming up for yall as Broner shoots into the p4p lists.
