I didn't see Broner giving Paulie a rematch either

He can't transform himself in such little time. Even if he moves more, he has so little experience using his feet defensively that he may do more harm than good. And if he's more active, he'll gas out prematurely and probably get knocked out late.

Absolutely...especially people who make their living by prospecting for good/bad bets.
Pride is paramount to someone like Maidana so I don't think a payoff is all that likely, but... this rematch simply doesn't make sense from Golden Boy Promotions' perspective. Their "chosen one" lost handily in the first fight and I don't see what he can noticeably improve in such little time to make the rematch any more competitive.
The only thing he can really do is run all night, avoid engaging and hope for a gift decision. The problem with that strategy is that he's so raw defensively that he may actually do worse by employing this strategy.

Broner needs to fight moving but he doesn't do that well at all, in my opinion.

If he can't stand and slug you out from the shell, or be stationary leaning off the front foot, he can't really do ****.
