    According to Steve Kim

    Steve Kim @stevemaxboxing

Adrien Broner was brought into the ring and he basically announced his bout vs Paulie Malignaggi at welterweight #boxing

Respect to Adrien. Win, lose or draw. Jumping up 2 weight classes is a big deal. Even if Paulie couldn't punch himself out of a wet paper bag. Great to see Broner taking a risk like this. Proves he is confident in his abilities.

Very disappointing. Broner should be cleaning out LW. Instead he's moving up two weight divisions, missing arguably the most exciting division in boxing ATM to fight Paulie for a meaningless strap.

Burns, Vasquez,(after whatever may happen soon between the two), Mattysse, Khan, Garcia. Too many options he should've waited and cleaned LW out after a fight or two he wasn't far away from doing that. 140 after. Not to say he still cant fight guys from 140 as they may move up. We'll see.

He's moving two weight divisions so this is definitely a good fight.

You all trippin'....give the kid some respect for stepping up. He doesn't have many options that are real challenges at 135....Maybe Vasquez but at 147 Paulie is his most technically sound and biggest opponent in his young career. It's a good fight for boxing and interesting due to the leap in weight.

    ....... Really?

Jumping two weight classes is no joke, and Paulie is no joke even with his lack of punching power... It will surely be a test. But I can't help but be upset he completely skipped over 140... Real upset.
