I think people are forgetting that Burns doesn't really have any standing with HBO.I don't expect him to fight for opponent's wages which I expect most of the people Broner's people will match him with will be expected to.If they're going to pay to take him over there,he has the ability to make Broner look bad(not saying he'll beat him,just stifle him and make a fight of it.) and given he's not a big name,Broner's team might not want it or consider it an extra hassle they could do without. I'm having serious doubts this fight will ever happen.

I wonder why? If it was a Mexican calling out everyone except Broner you'd be saying he was scared of him,but Broner can call out everyone except Floyd and that's cool.
Don't be surprised if Broner's next opponent is a big disappointment.It's only natural to ease a young talent into a new weight.It certainly won't be Burns because he's expecting his hardest fight yet against Mitchell and if Broner does chase the fight as a mandatory,it won't be until the second fight after Mitchell I reckon.
I also think Broner won't be at 135 for long.There's not enough money in that division.

 

Burns-Mitchell is a bigger money fight for Burns, so he's not going to sign to fight Broner while that's still on the table. If Burns wins, I think it might happen, although Frankie W doesn't like making that kind of fight.

 

Ponce is Burns level? Ponce is Katsidis level, who Burns handily beat.

Broner wins, but it's a good fight for him to take at 136 no doubt.

Gesta just came off a win against a bum fighter. He hasn't proven himself yet, a bad matchup.

 

That if an up and comer of any nationality was making a splash and calling out everyone except Broner you'd have something to say about it.
You said he's calling out everyone except Floyd.If he's calling everyone out he should be calling Floyd out.If anyone else was doing the same you'd say "Why not Floyd?"

 

he ain' callin out Floyd cause he knows the deal. Floyd is proly the only fighter below 147 Broner doesn't feel confident beating at this point and chances are he'll admit that if asked. I got no problems with anyone who ain't Sergio/Pac level calling out EBF (everyone but floyd) cause Floyd is clearly a level above everyone. No shame in being #2 to Floyd and taking some time to season yourself against the best available guys before challenging the master.
